We have a newborn son. We have the Dr. Brown's, Born Free, and Medela bottles (with Calma Nipple)... and we prefer this bottle over all others.
I love the flow on this - too much milk does not flow into his mouth, AND there are no air bubbles when he drinks. This was a problem happening with all the other bottles (not the Dr Brown's though) and our son is very fussy and gassy so this is important for us.
We have not experienced any leaks at all as others have claimed they experienced.
One thing that I don't like (which is why I only gave 4 stars)... when we heat up the milk in our First Years bottle warmer, it doesn't heat up as fast because of the thick plastic bottom. Sometimes we have to heat it up a little extra to make sure milk is warm. Is frustrating from time to time especially when you have a crying impatient hungry little one.
I received this set as a gift and am very happy with them!

I used these with my 3 daughters and tried the new Similiac bottles with my son. I should have stuck with what I know, these bottles are THE BEST!!!! They fit well in the dishwasher and clean better then regular bottles!

I bought these for my 2 month old son who we're having to switch to formula. He has used bottles before but I needed a larger bottle and decided to try these out. They didn't leak were a great size but it took 45 minutes for him to eat 5oz! He is not a slow eater and was wide awake but for some reason it was taking him forever to eat from these bottles. The second time feeding with these after waiting 15 minutes for him to eat 1/2oz I switched to a Medela bottle that came with my breast pump for the rest of his feeding. He chugged 5oz in 10 minutes. I don't know what was going on with these bottles but I will be trying something else from now on. Also if you're mixing formula into 6oz of water you have to be careful. Because of the way the bottle is curved the 6oz line comes right to the lip of the bottle.

I have a 6 month old son and he has used these bottle since birth. At first I really liked them because of the air flow with the fornula but THEY LEAK.Not just a little, I will make bottles and come back into the kitchen, water will be all over the counter. I am shopping now for new bottles, can't take it anymore.

I loved these bottles! I see people complain they leak but if you wait to put them together until they dry completely, they do not. Yes, the letters and numbers may wash off but call the company ad they send you checks for completely free packages plus extras for your troubles so who cares. When my daughter got a little older we bought some cheap bottles and we noticed ear infections starting after we stopped using these. Since then shes had 2 sets of tubes. I think their claims about reduging colic, ear infections and such are correct. Personally, the best on the market!

i am a first time mom who invested a t of money in dr. Browns products, which unfortunately did not work for my daughter. This bottle is a life saver she has reflux and she hardly ever vomits on this bottle, she also was having problems with gas not with this bottle. I would recommend this product to friends.

I used these with my first baby who is now 2. I'm pregnant again and plan on using these bottles exclusively with the new baby. I gave the ones I used with my daughter to 2 different friends who were having babies and they both loved them as mush as I did. I do recommend the Wide bottle Ventaire over the regular ones. The wide nipple simulates the breast much closer.

We purchased many of these bottles after our son was born because we liked the angled design and the promise that air flows out the bottom. Thats not the only thing that flows. Every time I made a bottle I would put all the pieces together and it would look sealed but every time it would leak. I would have to pour out the formula to a glass and take the whole thing apart and do it all over again until it decided to seal. This was especially frustrating at 3 am running on little to no sleep as it was. It would amaze me that it would hold water but 5 mins into feeding would start leaking.

I would not recommend these and will for sure be purchasing a different kind of bottle for my next child.

Ok, i've used the older version of these, and the new, and just love the new version. Being a nanny, i've used nearly every bottle out there, and these are in my top 3, and are my first choice for breast fed babies, or babies with reflux (since they need to eat in near sitting position)

For those saying that it leaks like crazy, push that little piece in harder. Seriously, i have only had this bottle leak a few times, and i poured the milk in another bottle, and realized that the piece was not in all the way.

The one complaint i have about these is the "slow flow" nipple. HOLY COW, if you have a lazy eater, or a baby that doesn't latch well, go straight to medium flow. The slow flow is horribly slow. I have to REALLY squeeze the bottle to get milk out of it, and it takes ages for the baby to eat out of the slow flow. (3mo baby - 45 minutes to drink the bottle!)
