When I first bought these it was to use in the car near my then 1 year old son's rear facing car seat. He's eight now, and I'm a child passenger safety technician - those people who check your car seat (if you haven't done it - do! Over 80% are installed/used wrong). Anyway, all the reviews above that had bad luck? To be blunt without intetion of spite - um, they weren't doing it right. :blushes: It's like any static cling thing, it's not sticky like a sticker. It works with static. So on a cold, dry day, these aren't going to go on your dirty windows very well. Clean the window, leave it damp, even spray the sunshade a bit, and it will go right on. Rub air bubbles out with the straight edge of something (pros would use a squeegee, a credit card will suffice). There. done. Mine stayed for years until I removed them, with no damage done to my windows. And all the ones I've installed for other people stayed, and didn't have tons of air bubbles. These shades are perfect, cheap, and safe. The ones with the suction cups? Yep, dangerous in the car. I wish other people would stop recommending those things. Basically before you put something around your child's car seat, bonk yourself on the head with it. If it HURTS don't use it! I realize that sounds stupid, but in an accident, that sunshade with the suction cups that falls down at all the stoplights will go flying at your kid and it's going to cause damage. It also has lots of little parts a kid could get in their hands and therefore their mouths to choke on. Really, you're better off with these, I promise!

I Love the sunshade by saftey 1st! It blocks out the sun. It help the inside of my van so it will not be so hot. The best part my little ones can go to sleep easily while I am driving because it blocks out the sun! They are able to enjoy the car ride and have a better view because the sun is not in their eyes. When you lower the windows it will not come off and you dont have to worry about your little ones pulling it off. It stays on really good! I love them and they are so cheap!

So much better than roll up shades that can fall and possibly hit baby
Good thing for a cheaper price

I chose this instead of the pricier option but this item works fine. I don't think you need to buy more costly items.
Hard to get smooth
By A Winter's Tale
These are thin film that you adhere to your windows. On the positive side, they are very easy to trim down (I have a Honda Civic and the rear windows are too small for the full size). On the negative size, it is nearly impossible to align them correctly so that they are straight and don't overhang onto other parts of the car - never mind trying to get all the air bubbles out. They work, but I will be buying another product.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Not a bad product for the price

Put this product up on my passenger windows for my infant in my back seating area, its extremely easy to install, that being said, its difficult to get all the air bubbles out entirely.

This product was just perfect for my car! The sun was always a problem before but not now!
Pay attention to Measurements

About Me Grandparent
I was fooled by the "trim to fit" instructions and did not measure my windows. I drive a Honda Fit, and the shade does not cover the window in either height nor width. The biggest problem in installation was the creases in the shade caused by being folded into a small box. I tried using a hair dryer to soften the creases, but was unsuccessful. I later found out that larger sheets can be found at home improvement stores. It does the job, though. My grandchildren are no longer bothered by bright sunlight while riding in the car.
If You're OCD...not for you
from Charlotte, NC
The product works well once it is installed. As far as the installation process, you need to have octopus arms (or at least someone to help) in order to get the film to adhere cleanly. If you are a bit on the obsessive/compulsive side, getting the bubbles out is a chore when installing by yourself.
Not the best but does the trick

I used this on my back windows to provide sun protection for my little one. The shade is easy to apply and move around. I noticed on super hot days it tends to need reapplication.
