I tried every other sunshade and none would stick to my windows. Outings with my little one were very difficult as he would scream every time the light was near his face. These shades were easy to install I heated them briefly with a hair dryer to get out the creases and so far have stuck to the windows without a problem. The bubbles are difficult to get out but for the price you can't go wrong.

I ordered these thinking they would be less bulky than the kind that roll out. Well, they were less bulky but did not stick well. Since they came folded up tiny in a box, they had creases in them. They also had to be cut to size for my car window.

I have an 18 month baby boy and currently live in a tropical climate region where days of 90°-110° are common. We were looking at alternatives for sun screens that ranged from pull down curtains, to stick-on decals. This option has been the best until now. My car has tinted windows with an added anti-burglar security film. Using this sunshade, my baby boy is able to look through the window without the glare and full UV protection, and we can lower the window whenever we need to.

When I first bought these it was to use in the car near my then 1 year old son's rear facing car seat. He's eight now, and I'm a child passenger safety technician - those people who check your car seat (if you haven't done it - do! Over 80% are installed/used wrong).

Anyway, all the reviews above that had bad luck? To be blunt without intetion of spite - um, they weren't doing it right. :blushes: It's like any static cling thing, it's not sticky like a sticker. It works with static. So on a cold, dry day, these aren't going to go on your dirty windows very well.

Clean the window, leave it damp, even spray the sunshade a bit, and it will go right on. Rub air bubbles out with the straight edge of something (pros would use a squeegee, a credit card will suffice). There. done. Mine stayed for years until I removed them, with no damage done to my windows. And all the ones I've installed for other people stayed, and didn't have tons of air bubbles.

These shades are perfect, cheap, and safe. The ones with the suction cups? Yep, dangerous in the car. I wish other people would stop recommending those things. Basically before you put something around your child's car seat, bonk yourself on the head with it. If it HURTS don't use it! I realize that sounds stupid, but in an accident, that sunshade with the suction cups that falls down at all the stoplights will go flying at your kid and it's going to cause damage. It also has lots of little parts a kid could get in their hands and therefore their mouths to choke on.

Really, you're better off with these, I promise!

It doesn't smooth out at all, and because of the haphazard way it's packed in the box there is always a corner or two that is peeling away because it wants to stay in the messily folded state it was packed in. Safety First could have avoided this by packing it in a roll in a long box instead of a flat rectangular box.

They worked great for awhile, but most of the way through summer, one started to become detached from the window wing being open. We didn't think it would affect it because it opens with the wind, not against it, but it was. Then once it lost that cling, it never clung again. The other one lasted, but was starting to come off, but summer was over by then, so we just went ahead and took it off, too and we'll have to find a more permanent solution by next summer. Bottom line: get the suction cup ones if you can, but these will do in a pinch.

My husband and I wanted to get sunshades for each of our cars. I went with a different, much more cute sunshade while my husband went with these. After making fun of each others choices all night we went to install them. This brand had it folded very nicely in the box. However, when it came to putting it on the window, the creases wouldn't come out! We tried using a credit card (I've installed a carshade or 6 in my life) to smooth the creases to no avail. We just chucked these ones and got a different brand for my husbands car.

Got this as a baby gift with my first child. It didn't fit my window well at all. If you have a compact car (I had a nissian sentra) you will have to set it at an angle to make it fit. But overall, it didn't even last a year. The plastic casing cracked. I don't know maybe you're suppose to replace it that often. It worked better than just stupid window clings, but could use some definate inprovements.

I put this on exactly as it directed and I spent a good deal of time trying to ensure that it was on without creases. When I came back out 15 minutes later it already started to peel off. When we came back to the car from out outing, they were both completely off. Very frustrated!
