My 2 year old loves to dance and sing- and loves to "do it herself" but too young for a cd player. This is the perfect solution. She can choose which disk to play and read along with with the book. Her 3 year old sister loves it too.

My son loves this! He plays with it every day! Once he figured out how to line up the CD in the player, my 2 year old can sit and entertain himself with this for about 30 minutes straight. He gets the book, flips to the first page, puts in the first CD and presses play. He dances and sings along with all of the songs on the CD, following along with the words and pictures in the book. When the first CD is done, he switches to the second one, and so on. The only down side is that the book is not a board book, so he's ripped the pages. (As a quick fix, we reinforced the bottom of each page with tape, so now they're sturdier.) Oh, and some of the songs only play a short portion of the song, for example, "If you're happy and you know it" only plays the first verse, and if you want to have it play the next verses you have to click the play button multiple times to get it to come back around to the song.

Awesome book ! I have alot of musical books and this one is my favorite. As a female singer its in a comfortable range. I dont like reading so I compensate by singing to her every night. Especially with this book like most babies she loves Elmo. I started when she was a few months old and now she loves to sing on her own. She cant talk or communicate too clearly yet (shes 2yrs old now) but she can clearly sing word from word to every song from this book. It definately creates a musical child and is a classic must have to all sesame street lovers.

My 3 yr. old son got this for his bday and really enjoys it. I was a little dissapointed that it didn't have words but he still really likes the music and the fact that he can do it all by himself. He and his 4 yr. old brother like to look at the book and dance to the music.

I don't have issues with this book like the other reviewers. My daugther receieved this for her 2nd birthday and she enjoys taking the discs in and out of the player. She is learning which buttons play, stop and eject. The songs are clear and while there are not words with the music, the book has the words so you can teach your child to sing along.

the music does not have words and it's a bit hard to use for a little one.

i purchased this for my son for easter...it was destroyed in less than a week. the book does not stay together well, the cd player will quit working after it is dropped a few times. this toy is not durable.
