When I first purchased the Havok Heli in late-December 2007, it really didn't fly all that well. It would spin out of control, no matter how the "Trim" function was used...*BUT* after transplanting the tail rotor from a mortally wounded "X-Smallest Copter" (from an overseas retailer), I have to tell ya that it flies fantastically well now, and I'm extremely happy with it. :-)

It flies extremely well and is easy to control in even the smallest room (a 10' x 12' bedroom is used most frequently); though I do wish it were able to fly outdoors -- but alas if you attempt that in daylight, the sunlight (whether direct or filtered by clouds) will interfere with its IR (infrared) receiver. It *CAN* (theoretically anyway) be flown outdoors after sunset (this trick worked well on an IR-controlled "indoor" biplane), but I have not yet tried it with the Havok Heli.

The four stars instead of five is because it flew so poorly until I did the 'ol switcheroo of tail rotors.

I'd recommend this product if you have a couple of extra tail rotors (such as from similar R/C helicopters) lying around.

well when i bought it it flew horrible and its super hard to turn and it broke the first day and we got a replacment and it isnt very sturdy. it still spins crazy even with trimming and it turns when it wants too!ps paint comes off!

My son received a Havo Heli (Navy) for Christmas this year. By Dec. 26th, it was already broken through normal play. The stabilizer rotor broke off. I called the AirHogs service dept and they finally agreed to send a replacement [...]. True to form, the replacement broke the same day as we got it with the exact same problem - stabilizer rotor broke off. During the time we were able to fly it, it seems the helicopter spins around a lot and while easy to navigate up and down, it is very difficult to turn. Don't buy this! Spend a little more money and get something that will not break and actually works.

I orderd this product online and it is the best heilcopter EVER. it is a little hard to fly at first but once you get used to it it is eseyer to fly. Any way what ever you paid for it it is worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second year Santa brought this to our house thinking manufacturing may have made some changes due to complaints. It lasted an hour and broke beyond repair.

handling is not bad . the reason i gave it a 3 star is because it broke on my second day using it.

It kinda worked for about 1 -2 flights. I was trying to get it to hover and it would spin out of control. Triming helped but about the time triming was setup it was dead and needed a recharge - then it loses trimming and you have to reset. After other charges triming would no longer work and it would just spin out of control. Waste of Money! Flight time was only 5 mintues - but even less since to have to keep resetting the trim. Sorry Spin Master/Air Hogs this is a waste of money.

Santa brought this to my 6 year old boy. He loved it and so did his father! They played with it all Christmas morning. But Christmas night came and some how the back wing broke off and now it wont fly :( This is really light and not very sturdy. This particular one WILL NOT fly outdoors. Indoors only.Feels like its made of cardboard. Although the quality is not great my son loves it, I'll be buying a replacement for it in hopes that we're more cafeful and perhaps it wont break this time!
