Got this as a birthday present from the Mrs. a week ago and honestly, it was so much better than I expected it to be. Challenging and fun all at once. Amazing detail, good size, 1800+ pieces, The Dark Knight's [Christian Bale] Batman and [Heath Ledger] Joker mini-figures...what more could you want from a set?! Absolute winner!

The build was fun, definitely many intricate construction techniques, added a lot of building ideas to my mental toolbox, but the result was beyond dull. Nearly picture perfect to the actual model, I once I was done, the thing did nothing. The canopy didn't open (Those removable panels do not count), there was no steering, no working suspension, no motor functions, baffling amounts of dead air inside the actual cabin that plenty of improvements could have been made using, the only thing that moved was the wheels, and the front pair didn't turn. Now, this wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for the fact that the set costs 200 dollars. 200 dollars, and the front wheels don't even turn? Four inch long technic sets that cost 15 dollars can pull off turning wheels, folks. Raise your game. It's pretty enough, but I don't like paying 200 dollars to what amounts to a pretty brick.

Great Birthday Present

By Aviture

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

Great concept, but not as well thought out as I would have hoped. Looks great as a finished product and one of the best finished products that lego has put out in a while. During the build, I felt like there were a number of pieces that were put together that had too much complexity just for the sake of complexity. Some of these complex features that you put together were then buried or hidden within the vehicle - so you would never see them again unless you took it apart. Other parts of the vehicle were fragile in the way there were attached so if you held the car the wrong way they would fall off. Building the core body was good and made sense logically and is of average complexity. My 5 year old daughter helped do a lot of the core parts of the vehicle and had a lot of fun doing that. The outer body parts are where I had the most issues. The panels, windows, exhaust, and dampers seemed really fragile, unnecessarily complex and don't secure to the body very well. As an extreme example, my daughter was helping work on one of the last books when she accidentally hit the car and it rolled right off the table onto a carpeted floor. After I composed myself - and looked at the damage, almost all of the external body parts blew off and scattered, but the core of the body was perfectly in tact. Showed the design difference between the core and external body parts. There are 5 books to go through so it will take some time. Need to be very careful that you are checking your work as you go because there are very few extra pieces and everything builds on each other. After missing a couple of steps early on and missing a piece or two (that I imagine got swapped out somewhere else), I would get nervous when I get to the end of every bag. Would have loved for the vehicle to open up a little more and have some more detail inside. As it is you can barely see any of the interior cockpit. And since it is clearly more of a display piece than a toy it would have been nice to show off more of the details. Overall great heading to awesomeness...

The best Lego Set I ever had

By Charles1987

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

Being fan of Batman, I bought this set and fell in love with it. Was just by far the best set to build and it looks awesome. A couple pieces were missing but I always have a Lego bin with all kind of pieces, so I could still finish it. Just an amazing set and I would recomment it to anyone

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

I have built over 50 lego sets, i have all the marvel and dc lego sets, and this was by far the hardest. It took my about an hour per bag, but the hardest part was the fact about 90% of the pieces are black. the second i finished building, i was so happy, and then i reilized it was lop-sided. i had but a 3x piece black where a 3x2 black had to go, and the 3x1 where the 3x2 had to go. I am still trying to rebuild it to this day. Once set is complete, it cannot do much. there are no missiles, and it is just for display. All you can do is rip off the roof and try looking in there. Minifigures - 10/10 Design of set - 9/10 dificulty - 8-10/10

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

A lot of money for a lot of plastic! But the detail has to be seen upclose to be believed, a lot of thought went into the design and it shows, with how long it takes to build, how ever. This build requires some patience in the later stages, as when you've built the chassis and are up to book 4 and 5 adding the details / panel sections things get fiddly and cumbersome, and once you have them on you'll notice any slip of the hand causes those same pieces to fall off meaning you have to put them back on! This makes playing with the model almost impossible, which is a shame, pretty much any and all of the outside panels will come off with little effort no matter how secure they are, some are ok some will pop off, the roof is just a snug fit, which is ok if you plan on showing off the interior. When lifting the model do not hold the sides use the front middle and the back axle for grip as the side panels which are real fiddle to secure in the first place will pop right off and if your not carefull you'll end up dropping the whole thing. which could potentially be painfull and time consuming to rebuild ;) The box is HUGE not too heavy, but once you complete the build you'll be amazed at it's sheer size and then when you do carefully lift it up you might wonder where's the weight come from ! ;) So onto other small gripes: some of the pieces have details on them already and the booklets in one instance for the interior console lack some details so you may use the wrong piece in this case it's a 2x1 smooth piece with a keyboard printed on it, the instruction booklet at a casual glance makes it look like a blank tile, and then you'll wonder why the others have the details on them if you use the wrong ones (there are two of these for left and right). Some times the instruction booklet doesn't highlight pieces to be added so you have to pay close attention to each page, and then suddenly it will, i also found the instruction booklet doesn't show every single step for both sides it shows you one side and then gives you arrows for the other, this means you have to reverse engineer that 'blind side' from the other 'shown' side. yes it would mean more pages but it's kind of a cheap move by lego imho..(i think we've paid enough for it though ). No instructions for a bat pod either... i may try to build one my self at some point... any questions ask away !

Best Batman LEGO Build Ever

By batvader1

from Asbury

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

My fiance bought this for me this past weekend at the Mall of America in Minnesota. I am a HUGE Batman fan especially of the Dark Knight Trilogy. I did not think LEGO ever created a masterpiece this awesome! But I was wrong obviously. I give this product a 10/10 for sure. If you are a series Batman fan/follower, you NEED to have this in your collection of Batman memorabilia. Every LEGO piece I constructed together felt like I was the engineer of the Tumbler. I felt like Lucious Fox from the movies! Every detail is spot on.

LEGO DC Super Heroes - Tumbler - Awesomeness

By LegoBond

from Steeple Ashton (Wiltshire)

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

Hello world, Below is a short review of the LEGO Tumbler. First...a bit about me: This is the first large LEGO set I have purchased since I was a youngling and I have to say I get a lot more out of the building experience now than I did as a child. I always loved the finished result as a child but I found the building process very challenging/lack of attention span. As a child I had the following large LEGO sets: 6378 (Shell Service Station), 6396 (International Jetport) and 6285 (Black Seas Barracuda - Pirate Ship). All highly recommended if you can find them. Now back to the present day... The LEGO DC SUPER HEROES TUMBLER This is one awesome-looking LEGO model, from an aesthetic perspective this model is a solid 10/10 when it is completed and it makes an excellent display piece. I took me about 20hrs to build this model over a three day period. It didn't find the model that challenging to build, however, the construction techniques were fun if not a little time consuming. The model is supplied with 5 instruction manuals which clearly define each stage of the build. I won't go into much detail on this, but I will say take care not to make any mistakes when building the chassis because every other structure in this model is built onto the chassis...meaning an error while building the chassis could effect the construction later on!!! I say this because I thought I had constructed the chassis correctly but I had accidentally used to many of the black technics joining pins. I didn't realise that I had made a mistake until I started to place the external panels onto the model at which point I found I couldn't connect two small pieces of paneling to the side of the model (because the connecting wholes were blocked). I managed to work around the problem but I was forced to leave two small pieces of paneling off of the model....the alternative was destroy the model and start again....don't make a mistake!!! My main criticism of this model is that there are many poorly secured components to the exterior paneling and these pieces are likely to fall off the completed model (or during construction). Overall, this is an awesome model and it looks amazing on display. You can role the model around on the floor, but be careful not to dislodge any of the external panels. I highly recommended this LEGO model, but please remember it is much more of a display piece than it is a toy. In conclusion this set looks fantastic and any fan of Batman would love to have this in their collection. *the attached photos show the model 99.99% complete with only a few tiny components unattached. I have not photographed the minifigures or information stand.

Very good and solid build. Every detail is fantastic. Only I would rather see less stickers. It was a big disappointment that the build was finished.

Things to know about the lego Tumbler

By TheIronWolf

from San Diego

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

The set is worth every penny, but if you can not stand just looking it is maybe not for you. The set is designed as well as possible but it is still delicate so this is not for people who want to fly it off ramps or play with a lot, it can be picked up and can be rolled at FAST speeds on a flat surface without any worry of it braking. Yes there are some fun parts, such as the removable roof to look at the inside cockpit and monitors, Moving flaps to give it a up look or a sleek look, but without a doubt the best part of this set is the look on your shelf, it is HUGE, it is attractive at sight and EXCLUSIVE MINIFIGURES! if you want this set BUY IT! you will not be sorry!

Ultimate Batman Lego Set

By EmilyR

from Davie

Comments about LEGO Super Heroes The Tumbler (76023):

I love this model. I can't even tell you how awesome it was to finally put it together. I've been dying to have the Tumbler since I first laid eyes on it and it took so long to get my hands on it and it was so worth the wait. This set is the most challenging build I've done so far and I love all the detail work that went into it. The wheels were ridiculously hard to get on right but I love a challenge and the finished product is great and it's very sturdy so far. I've had bigger sets that I've been afraid to move before because bits would jar loose easily. Not so with the tumbler. I recommend this to anyone who's a Batman fan or who just enjoys a challenging build
