This swing was a saver for us at night since our baby girl didn't want to sleep in the crib, only wanted to be held. The swing is still working well for us but my only complaint is it creaks when swinging. Nothing we do is making the creaking stop. Otherwise we love the swing.

We got this swing a few weeks ago and so far it has been great. Our baby loves it! She loves the sounds and the moblie with lights hold her attention. It is easy to move from one room to the next and I love that you can plug it in.

My first baby loved the swing, the mobile, the lights and music, and the ability to switch the direction of motion. We really wished that the AC plug had been an option the first time around and will be sure to get a swing with that next time. The motor began wearing out quickly, giving us headaches trying to get it going, keep it going, etc. It didn't last for more than a month for a second child (yes, we were careful about storing well).
I'm really tempted to buy it again for the next child, but it sounds like Fisher-Price still has not resolved the motor problem 4 years later. Like the other mom said, that's a lot of money to spend for a one-child swing.

This swing has been a life saver! At 4 weeks old, our baby wouldn't sleep in her crib, or much at all for that matter, except in someone's arms or in motion. With that being said, we purchased this swing and it got us through the night and allowed us to keep our sanity!

The 2 swinging motions come in handy and the fact that it can plug into the wall is wonderful as well. With the amout of time that we have used the swing, if we could only use batteries we could have went broke by now! The sounds on it are very soothing to baby as well and she digs them! The swing is easy to move so it goes all over the house with us!

We have had it roughly 4 weeks and the mobile has already stopped working, but it's still swinging - thank goodness. Based on the other reviews that I just read, I'm wondering if the swinging motor is going to quit, but at this point, it's still going strong!

Our son is 1 month old and between 10-11 lbs. He started really fussing during the day so we decided to try a swing. I found a number of excellent reviews for the swing on this site, so we waited for a sale and bought it brand new.

It was very easy to put together and we were thrilled with the bells and whistles - especially the wave sounds and the two-way rocking. Our son loved the swing too and would sit in it without crying whether awake or asleep.

The only gripe that I had was that the music/noises stopped after a certain period of time and we had to keep hitting the reset button to start it up again. In my opinion, there should be an option to keep it on constantly especially since this swing has an AC option.

Then, a week later, the front-to-back swing stopped working - the motor sounded like it was working overtime, but no motion. We had the swing plugged into the wall, but tried replacing the batteries - no dice. The swing would just sit there with the motor grinding.

I called Fisher Price and was told that the product was too new for replacement parts so I should return it to Babies R Us for a full replacement. I did this a few days ago.

The front-to-back swing on the new swing is not even close to being as strong as it was on the older one. We have to put it on the highest setting to get the same motion that we had with the lower settings on the original swing. However, we thought that perhaps the old swing was swinging too hard and that's what caused the motor to burn out.

A few days later (today), the front-to-back swinging no longer works. The side-to-side barely works. I'm now looking at having to return the swing AGAIN and I'm sorry to say that this time I'm probably not going to go with the same swing.

It's too bad because this swing really was fantastic and we were thrilled, but two different swings having the same issue is two too many. Now I'm also pretty disgruntled because the alternative is having a fussy baby who wants his swing.

Bought this swing for our second child. Our first child had a swing that only went back and forth and HATED it. We decided to spend more and buy this one since it also goes side-to-side and has sounds, lights, and a mobile - which the other swing had none. Our daughter LOVES it! She only likes going side-to-side, but the sounds and lights soothe her when she is fussy and she likes looking at the fish move around. It isn't any bulkier than the other swing we had. Two small problems, and one big one with this swing. The slow mode is a bit fast, like others have noted. Also, with all the sound off, the swing motor is noisy. Only big problem is within 5 days of having it, the motor in the swing broke. Luckily we had the protection plan, and were able to replace it. Hopefully, this does not happen again. But if it does, I would still buy this swing because our daughter loves it so much.

I bought this product for my first child. She loved it, the only problem with it back then was it only came with batteries... no option to plug it in. But the new ones plug in.
It lasted through my first two kids and had it not been for a friend it would have lasted through more. Most of the problems with motors giving out are couse they are turned on while folded up to be stored. When this happens the swing can't move and the motor will burn out but that will happen with any swing. So be careful when storing it between kids.
Other then that it was perfect. I am buying a new one for the next baby.

We had the old style that took batteries and wished I could find one that we could plug in and found this one and knew I had to have it. Nobody can go wrong buying it. Yes it swung fast when it was small 5lbs but we used his bounce chair beside it and it slowed down. Don't waste time with the others. The seat is very secure, love the head piece.

My baby isn't even born yet, but I got this swing (my favorite out of the 100's I looked at) as a shower gift. My husband put it together with ease and it is adorable!!! We plugged it in, turned it on, swings great, music is cute, mobile starts to turn.... AND BUST! It starts clicking... I push it along to help it get momentum... starts to turn, starts clicking, stops turning, continues to click. The good news, I can have the swing on, the music on, the light up globe on, all without the mobile on. The bad news, if I wanted it replaced I would have to mail back a couple parts at my expense (just as a show of good faith) and they would send me a check for the exact retail price of the swing. [...] Don't know what I will do yet.My only other complaint, there are 4 "music/noise" settings. 1. Music, 2. Ocean waves, 3. Rain, 4. Babbeling Brook. 2,3,& 4 are all virtually the same thing. I get that its an under water theme... but they could have been a little more creative.

This swing is perfect! I've used it for my 2 children and countless babies at my daycare. It has held up wondefully, is easily cleaned and stores away with very little space. It is difficult to carry around. It is heavy and bulky. It is fantastically battery operated so there's no winding of a lever to keep the baby swinging. Must have for new mommies!
