This HEXBUG Nano Habitat Set contains 10 interlocking pieces, including 7 bridges and 3 hex cells, to customize a habitat for your Nano creatures. The Nano is a unique micro robotic creature that behaves like a real bug, propelling itself forward with high-speed vibrations that also cause it to shuffle and flip when it encounters another Nano. Two Nano specimens are included in the set for instant excitement. Add more Nano creatures and create a commotion!

Unique specimens


The HEXBUG Nano Habitat Set comes with 2 specimens to begin or add to your collection. The Nano's unique movements mimic the motion of a real insect. Each Nano species features unique colors, exotic markings and a distinct body shape.


Custom habitat


Use the 4 curved bridges, 3 straight bridges and 3 hexagon pieces in the set to create a custom habitat where your Nano creatures can shuffle, flip and scramble over and around one another.


Innovative design


A rotating counterweight inside the Nano moves the creature up and down several hundred times per second, propelling it forward.


Create a swarm

With the Hexbug Nano Habitat Set, you can build a world for your Hexbug Nanos to explore. Parts snap together easily and allow you to build a variety of different configurations. Hexbug Nano robotic bugs navigate their way through the maze you create.

Introducing Innovation First's HexbugCreatures! These Micro Robotic pets behave like real bugs that react to touch, sound, and light. Collect all of the Hexbug creatures including the: original Hexbug, Inchworm, Crab, Ant, and Nano! The original Hexbug reacts to touch and sound, the crab reacts to light and sound and the Ant reacts to touch. You have the power to control the inchworm...the first full-range control robotic creature. The nano behaves like a real bug and can even flip itself over!         I've purchased some of the individual hexbugs as gifts and the kids love to play with them. This set is great because it includes two hexbugs and enough habitat pieces to make it more interesting. The one downside is it is easy for kids with lots of toys to lose the small hexbugs and over time some kids can lose interest with them after the novelty wears off.

              My daughters play constantly with this toy Together. Their ages are 2 and 9, so not many things work for both of them due to their age difference. Batteries did not last past the first 24hrs, but they also left them running all night long... Haven't tried the online aspect of this, but am looking forward to what it will teach my science-driven 9-year old.

                    My 3 year old and my five year old love this product. They spent hours the first day playing with it. They keep experimenting to see what they can get the bugs to do. I only gave it four stars because I am not sure if there is much redeeming educational value, but they are having a lot of fun with it.
