There is nothing great about this product that you cannot get from other models made by this manufacture or others. It holds very few amounts of diapers, The replacement bags are very expensive and not a lot of retail stores carry them. The bags rips off very easly and all the diapers are out. I wish I did not purchased it or returned it before I used it. I hope this will help someone not to make the same mistake I made.

This product was good for the first year but after that it started to fall apart and become un-usable. It smells every time you open. The lid is broken and doesnt shut all the way, which causes the odor to linger. Also for a few months it was very difficult to shut the lid, to the point where I had to force it close.

Although this technically works as advertised, it is really just an expensive way to throw diapers out. It only holds about 20-30 diapers or so. When you have an infant, you go through bags frequently. We have twins, so I am changing the bags every 2-3 days. You are probably better off just getting a nice, large trash can that closes tightly. Get some scented trash bags. Keep a box of baking soda nearby and sprinkle some in as needed.

I love this diaper pail! With my son, we used the diaper genie. What a pain. This pail is super easy to use, super easy to empty, and easy to replace the bag. It never smells like diapers in her room. I am very happy with it!! Oh, refills are very reasonably priced too and we get coupons for them--even better! :-D

I have been using mine for 18 months now and I would say it is just OK. It is easy to use, you can open it with 1 hand and changing the bags is very easy. However, it only contians the smell while it is closed! When I put another diaper in it, the smell comes out and when I change the bag the smell is really bad, I think the smell goes right through the bag. Also, I have never had to refill the baking soda! I think the bag is too close to the dispenser for the baking soda to fall out when I close the lid. I am going to puncture a few more holes in the container to see if that solves the problem and hopefully it will help the smell issue.
As others have said, it is really hard to close the lid when the bag is getting full...I have to push on the lid really hard and I feel like it's going to break...but hasn't yet :) I have never counted how many diapers it holds but i'm pretty sure it does hold close to the max. My son goes through about 5 diapers a day and I would notice if I had to change the bag every three days as others have said.
Overall, it is just OK and now that I am have my second baby I am wondering if I want to get a pail for her room or not. If I do, I will get a different brand.

These bags are easy to install in the pail and keep out the smell. Unfortunately, you can only fit about 12 diapers in the bag before you have to remove it from the pail, which is about half of what the bags are supposed to carry. When you take the bag out, then you can fit about 7 more, but then the room starts to smell because of the side holes in the bag to allow the top to open and close. Overall, it is a good product and would work perfectly if the stupid pail was taller to allow the diapers to fit.

At first I liked the ease of the product, and the design of the bags. After a few weeks, I realized how quickly the bags filled up, I felt the unit did not mask the odor well, and the bags are quite flimsy. I ended up purchasing another diaper pail which works much better.

I use this pail in the nursery, so it gets used for pretty much every change. The main issue I have with it is its diaper capacity. It says it holds 25 diapers, which is true. As long as they're newborn diapers. By the time you get to a size 2 or 3, it's about half that. Also, in order for the pail/bag to close all the way the bag needs to have less than 2/3 of it full. On top of that, depending on how the diapers drop into the pail, you might have to reach in the door and jiggle the bag to redistribute the weight so that it will close properly. Other than that, the bags are convenient with their 'snap-to-close' feature and easy replacement. For my money, all the fidgeting with a bag that only gets partly used is not worth the price of the refills. Next time I'll probably just use a small wastebin with a (free!) plastic grocery bag.

Not sure about the other diaper pails, but this item is definitely in MY top 10 MUST HAVES!
It's so easy to use and so convenient that i purchased a 2nd. We have NO issue with smell ? Holds a decent amount of diapers.

We have had this product for 9 months now, and it is probably the one thing that I think I would consider not buying if I were to do it over again. It isn't a bad product, but diaper containment systems like this are only really needed for the parents with sensitive noises or the children with really smelly poop/urine. None of our current household fits into these catergories (although we are expecting a DH within a few months, so maybe she will make it worth the cost). Looking back, I think we could have survived just fine with a covered trash can and some deoderized trash bags. However, the pros to this unit are the ease of use, easy assembly, and the refill bags aren't as expensive as I would have imagined. One downside is that I can't seem to fill the bag all the way to the top while the bag is still in the unit. So as it gets full and impossible to close the lid anymore, I take the bag out and set it beside the diaper genie to continue to use until it is full. I can get another 7-8 diapers in the bag once it outside of the unit, however I do get a lovely whiff everytime I do! But I'm the type to make this sacrifice to save some dollars. :)
