My mom wanted to get our 19 month old daughter the "other" one for Christmas. I remember seeing this when doing my registry, I was just waiting until she was a bit older to get it. I told her I would rather have this one and luckily she was on board. It is great. We showed it to her first in a windowless bathroom, and she loved it. I will never, ever forget her reaction when we walked into her bedroom last night before bed - "Oh wooow!" I am glad that I opted for this one. It's a good size, much bigger than the more popular one. It has constellations with a little guide book included. I *almost* can't wait until she's old enough for that. I can see them easily. It also has separate buttons for each color. She now knows red, blue and green with no problem and she knows which button does what (after one day!). We've been working on colors forever! Blue is her favorite! :) On that note, the blue is really, really bright. Green is a bit more subtle and red is nice and calm. I really like that. Blue is for looking and red is for sleep!

For my first child, I had a similar toy - a turtle - but the lights did not illuminate anything and it was eventually junked . THIS, is great. It really shines and is easy for a child to turn on and off or change colors. FYI: I have a 3yo now.

My 2 and a half year old started getting scared of the dark and has been asking for a dream lite. While at babies r us I seen this product and decided to go ahead and get this brand. My daughter loves it she carries it around all day and it helps light up the room at night. The red setting of stars doesn't shine as bright but I'm okay with that. We use it every night

My sister showed me this and I admit my wife might a little too big for a night light but she the type that loves stars and loves the view of the city so when I saw this I had to get it for her.when she noticed what it does she couldn't stop thanking me for it LoL she's my heart

we have these for my 3 yr old twins and my 5 yr ols. they love it!! and the best thing is it goes out in 45 mins so you dont have to shut off and it never even slightly gets warm.. we get so worried because you see so many fires start from nightlights but this is about the safest one ive seen

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER SHE KEPT SEEING THE DREAM LITE COMMERCIALS AND AFTER LOOKING AT THOSE AND READING ALL THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS I FOUND THESE MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN GETTING SCARED AT BEDTIME AND I THOUGHT IF THIS WILL HELP WHY NOT GIVE IT A TRY AS SOON AS THE ITEM CAME SHE WAS SOOOOO EXCITED TO TRY IT OUT SHE GOT RIGHT INTO BED AND SHE NEW EXACTLY HOW TO RUND IN AND SHE LOVED PUTTING HER COLOR TO PURPLE AND IT LIT HER ROOM UP VERY NICELY, I NEVER HEARD ANOTHER PEEP OUT OF HER SHE LOVES IT!! AND SHE USES IT EVERY NIGHT! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE, BIG OR SMALL I THINK IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT!!!
