My daughter loves her new big girl bed. It didn't take her long to transition to it from her crib. It seems to be well made so far. It was a little bit complicated to assemble. The cross bars that go under the mattress have to be put in one by one. Otherwise no complaints.

We were doing very well putting the bed together, until we had to start putting the slats in. It took 3 people to get them lined up and put in correctly. We thought we were almost finished, and then one of the screws for the foot board would not go in, and the 4 screws to put the guard rails on to the headboard were too short. Husband is on the way to the hardware store to get longer screws. Very frustrating. :( And I do work at a furniture store and put furniture together on a regular basis.

Comments about Bergamo Colonnade Toddler Bed - Natural:

We used the bed for our almost 3-year old girl, who was sleeping in her crib prior to this. She had no difficulty transitioning, as it keeps the same mattress and bedding that she had in her crib. The guardrails go about 1/2 way down her body and she hasn't fallen out at night. I think the quality is probably mediocre but we haven't had any problems with it yet. But then again for under $100 we knew we weren't paying for top quality. But it has really been fine so far. The only downside is that it is really a pain to put together. My husband is good at putting together furniture, and other projects but it did get frustrating for him. However, in the end, we got it together just fine and we like it!

Just a Bad Experience

Comments about Bergamo Colonnade Toddler Bed - Natural:

Ordered this item directly from TRU since they didn't have it in stock at the time. Order placed, item arrived a few days later. Oops, received the wrong color item. I received a white bed frame instead of the natural color. Debated keeping it for a while and eventually decided to open it and put it together anyway. Oops, pieces inside were broken and unusable. So not only did TRU send the wrong item, they sent a broken one too. Won't order furniture from TRU ever again. Who needs the hassle?

Horrible experience- sent wrong color

Comments about Bergamo Colonnade Toddler Bed - Natural:

We ordered the Natural color toddler online so it we wouldn't have to lift it to get it home- however a cherry colored bed was sent instead even though the invoice indicated it was Natural. So we had to haul it back to a store after all then it was difficult for them to exchange since the invoice indicated it was Natural but the bed was actually Cherry- what a mess! Learned a lesson- dont order from Toys R Us!!!

This item was pretty easy to put together (I was able to do it myself)and it looks great. So far, it is working great and my 18-month-old loves it. It is low to the ground so when he rolls out, which happens often, he doesnt get hurt. It appears to be durable; we will see as time goes on.

I bought the bed because my toddler said his prior crib was for babies and that he was a big boy. The price was good and the color was great. [...]best of all, the assembly was not difficult at all. I recommend this bed.

The wood is of high quality with a beautiful finish. The packaging is impressive. The bed was in perfect condition. However the assembly was very difficult to the point that the next time I will pay more and purchase from a furniture store.

Comments about Bergamo Colonnade Toddler Bed - Natural:

I needed a toddler bed for my 18 month old due to multiple attempts of climbing out of her crib. It was a pain to get the individual slots under the mattress together, but overall it's a good buy. This bed is low enough that she can get in and out without hurting herself. Even with the guardrail (I bought my own and did not attach the two side pieces) she was still able to climb in and out of the bed.
