Comments about Enviro-Mental Toy Concert Master Violin Musical Toy:
My (almost) 6 year old got this violin for Christmas. I was initially worried that the toy would be too young for him, but its different settings work well for different age ranges. My younger son puts it on "auto play" and pretends to play, and my 6 year old creates his own songs. I love it!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Education Oriented
I have been playing violin for 9 years now and I decided to get this toy for a little girl, she absolutely loves it and enjoys trying to play with me. This is a great toy and really gives children the chance to have fun!

A hit with both kids and adults!

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children
I got this for my 3-year-old's birthday a year ago (our model looks a little different from the one above, but it's the same toy from the same company). He loves it! He goes through phases where he plays it for weeks, then puts it aside and goes back a few months later, like any toy. But adults who come over all like to play with it too (this one included!). It's so fun to feel like you are playing a song, since you get to control when the notes come out and how long they last. It also will do autoplay of songs, which is nice for my 1-year-old, who can't manage the bow. If there's a drawback, it's that the wiggly part on the "strings" that lets you play is a little stiff for children under 4 to control, but then again, it's not meant for that age group. Not that this stops my 1-year-old! And anyway, the littler kids can just pantomime using the bow across the hard plastic part while the autoplay feature runs, and they are happy!
Fun for youngsters

I bought this for my 7 year old, but I think she is a bit old for this type. I would recommend this for a todler but not much older.
