Product Description

Crayola Glow Color Explosion. Create colorful, glowing creations. Patented colored Glow technology. Provides an empowering and magical new way to create a glowing coloring experience! Open ended creativity - create free form designs and glowing signs.

From its earliest beginnings, Crayola has been a color company. Crayola came into being when cousins Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith took over Edwin's father's pigment business in 1885. More than 120 years later, color along with creativity, learning and most of all, fun is the hallmark of Crayola's company. Crayola has called Easton, Pennsylvania its home since the early 1900s. Today, the Crayola's world headquarters and major manufacturing facilities are located there. And downtown Easton is the home of The Crayola FACTORY, a one-of-a-kind celebration of creative fun for everyone! In 1984, Crayola became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hallmark Cards and has since Crayola has played the lead role in Hallmark's personal development strategies.

This product was a lot of fun for my kids. We still have it and the thing I really liked was the generous amount of paper it came with. These Crayola products can be pricey and I dislike all the replacement paper needed so this was worth it. My two kids lock themselves in a dark room and giggle forever. The glow effect really is entertaining for them and if you follow directions it will be bright and glow for a long time. As for the other reviews I have no idea if it will ruin my table because I put down a protector as instructed and always do because even though my kids are neat when doing art accidents happen. The smell: Well I am not suggesting they smell great but I did not find it any more offensive then most smelly markers. It was less obvious then a permanent marker used to write on boxes. A little like dry erase markers where it wears off quickly so by the time it bothers you it is gone from the air. We are still having fun with the product. It is not meant to be vibrant colored art. The glow in the dark effect is when you will see how vibrant it is. My kids ages are 4 and 8 if that is helpful. The odor was not a problem for anyone in the home so possibly if you live in a very small home it would be bothersome but that is the only reason I personally would see why someone would feel that way. We have large home so the area may have been big enough that smells move the way out of a room quickly. I still recommend this. I plan on giving it as a gift to my nephew.

My son received thse for his birthday, and within a few minutes after he started using the markers and paper, I knew I didn't like the smell. Within a few hours (and he wasn't even using them anymore) the smell of the paper with the markers on it took over the house, and my nose and throat were very irritated. My daughter and I both thought we were coming down with something! I had to throw all of the markers and paper away (outside!) and open my windows before we started feeling better. I am very disappointed that Crayola would make a product that smells this awful, and makes people sick. I wouldn't recommend these to my worst enemy!

I gave this to our grandchild for Christmas. He made a picture as directed and then set it on our coffee table. The next morning all the finish was eaten off our coffee table where the picture had been set. It was suppose to be safe and non toxic. How safe is something that can eat the top off the coffee table? In closer examination Crayola has a very small warning about not setting pictures down or hanging on surfaces. This warning is not anywhere in the instructions and not in large print.I wonder how many 6 year olds have wrecked their parents furniture using this product. I believe it should be banned or recalled and will pursue such.

Terrible product that should not be licensed to children! My extremely neat, focused, careful 8 year old managed to destroy the top of a red-cedar chest-of-drawers by setting a completed piece of artwork done with Color Explosion markers. The smell and yellow pigment is permanently embedded in the wood and I could smell it on my skin for 2 days after 2 showers.

This ruins your furniture!!!! My son finished his art, placed it on our brand new table and when I later picked it up, the finish on the table was gone! I couldn't believe there was only a warning in very fine print on the back of the box telling you it may ruin furniture, fabric and much more!! Crayola should have put a huge yellow warning on the papers when you open the box, but they chose not to.

I got these free with the easel I bought for my therapy practice... they are interesting, but I felt like the markets didn't work very well and it took a lot for the kids to understand how it worked. They liked that it glowed in the dark though and I think that pretty much was all that mattered to them.

The instructions do say to cover surfaces for safety, but do NOT say it's because the markers will actually destroy anything they touch!!! They immediately went into the trash!
