We purchased this stroller during a sale, so that our 13-month son could accompany me on my jogging & running forays. We had a Graco Travel System for his first year, but that four-wheeled, bulky stroller definitely would not do for speeds faster than a stroll. Frankly, we were looking for a lightweight, comfortable, durable jogging stroller that did what it was supposed to do--not some overpriced "jogging stroller style" wannabe. After constant daily use, I can say that the Expedition LX-Sonic meets all of our expectations. I like that I can disengage the front wheel from it's locked "jogging" position to it's free-turning "walking" position with the pull of a tiny switch by the right hand grip. To lock the wheel back again, I just lift the front wheel off the ground, wait until it's parallel with the direction of the stroller, and press a button--voila! The front wheel is locked from turning, making it safer during faster speeds. (The cheaper and more expensive Baby Trend joggers require you go to the front wheel and insert or remove a pin to lock or unlock the front wheel.) The large bike-style wheels are durable, and can be replaced with even more durable thorn-proof wheels from your local bike shop, if you choose to take it on the trails. One of my favorite things about the stroller is the fully adjustable shade--on most strollers, the shade pretty much only covers the top of the child. On the Expedition LX (and other Baby Trends) you can pull the shade all the way down in front of your baby if necessary; I usually pull it down enough so that the front mesh portion of the shade (as seen in the pictures) just covers my son's face, so he can still see but be protected from the sun's glare. Folding is simple and quick, and the carry handles are perfectly placed to lift and maneuver the stroller in and out of our cars (plus, when folded it stands up nicely on the front wheel and handlebar, taking up maybe a 2'x2' space.) Adjusting the seat back is also as quick and simple, using a reinforced toggle and pull strap. The hand grips are ergonomic and felt better positioned than other models. The downsides to this stroller? I really need to nitpick...Don't expect it to fold flat like an infant stroller, travel system, or non-jogging stroller--the same large wheels which are a benefit when cruising over bumps and grass prohibit it from folding very compactly (this is generally true for all joggers.) Should you need to clean them, the shoulder pads on the straps are not removable, unlike those on child car seats. The parent cup holders aren't deep enough to fully secure a twist-cap water bottle when jogging (hitting a bump sometimes made the bottle jump out of the holder), but were not a problem while strolling. They also will not fit larger reusable water bottles (my 750mL Camelbak bottle wouldn't fit, though I'm sure the 500mL would--I just end up putting my water bottles in the pocket behind the seat.) The bottom storage basket doesn't have a firm bottom, as in the more expensive version. That said, the material is strong enough to hold our 10-pound Miniature Pinscher when I tire her out from the jog--she just sits in there and sticks her head out of the side, in front of the rear wheels.Other things to note? I don't have an MP3 player, so I can't judge how well the integrated speaker system works (though I like the idea of it.) The stroller has pockets galore, though everything I bring for us during a jog fits in the seat back pocket and the parent tray. It would be awesome if the stroller had shocks to handle those big bumps, to keep our son from being jumbled around too much on big bumps, but that would definitely increase the cost. The frame tube is too thick to fit a 3/4" carabiner around, but probably would fit a 1" one--I mention this because that's how I attach our dog's leash, and a "Mommy Hook" is gargantuan for the purpose. I know this works with a car seat as a travel system, but I only have used this as a jogger. Lastly, to those who have had issues with the front wheel? [...] Also, the instructions explain how to remove the child footrest and perform maintenance on the front wheel, such as adjusting the locking nut. Have had no issues at all with any of the wheels.A long review? Yes. Informative and helpful? Hopefully. Ultimately, my wife and I able to bring our toddler son with us in a safe and reliable manner when out for a run, and he enjoys it (or it puts him to sleep, which is enjoyable for us!) I've seen more and more people with it, and so far everyone I've talked with about it has had a positive impression. It's a great jogging stroller, and we've been recommending it ever since getting it.

I like that the back wheels can pop off easily. I like that you can plug in your ipod (but its not that loud so that unfortunate)
My Daughter always seems comfortable in it. I like that when I need to switch the front wheel from locked to swivel I can do it from the switch located on the handle bar, and I don't have to stop and bend down by the front wheel like other jogging strollers.
It has a runaway strap. I haven't had any problems with the wheels, they havent popped or needed to be filled with air daily or even weekly, they have managed to stay well inflated.
I like that the sun shade can rotate to block the sun from my daughter.

Dislike: It doesn't fold easily. You have to make sure the wheel is on swivel and the seat is completely reclined for it to fold with ease. If the wheel is locked, you have to put pressure on it to make sure it locks closed. If the seat is sitting up at all all forget it, it wont even close. When you unfold the stroller where it locks, has pinched my daughters arm. The basket is a pain to get to. It also does really have any shocks, says it does, but it doesn't seem like it. (not compared to the BOB anyways)

Overall its an okay stoller. MUCH better than ANY Jeep Stroller. Its an affordable stoller, so compared to other cheap stollers, I'd be more likely to recommend this stroller than others.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogger Stroller - Sonic:

I got this strollerfor my 1yrold because it seemed sturdy had nice big wheels for tsking walks on trails. I pushed it around in the store (using the display) it turned super easy and seemed to glide. I did read reviews first but decided to try it. First thing i did before using it was spending a few extra dollars at our local bike shop getting heavy duty tubes put in the back tires i do not recommend that slime junk!!! If do ever have a problem u will b sorry u used it. Anyway i have never had a single tire issue not even having to refill the air. As far as the shaking front tire never had that problem either. It is a little bulky and heavy takes up my entire trunk. My issue is the cheap seat! The backy is cardboard absolutely no cushion. The recline adjustment is held in place by a plastic piece on the strap, its cheap junk. if my son is being hyper and lays back hard it doesnt hols and the seat falls and so does he. Now the piece doesnt work at all the seat wont stay up. Thank goodness i got warranty on this. We wont go into the ridiculous unfair procedures of the warranty company. I will get a replacement but i will have to pay some more $$$$. If the seat could get some improvements would b a great product. Also a review of policy and procedure on replacements need to happen.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogger Stroller - Sonic:

I've been using this stroller for a while with my son. I use it only for walking. I leave the wheel on swivel because the paths have a lot of turns. As my son has gotten bigger and heavier, the front wheel has wobbled more and more. We were walking down a hill and the wheel wobbled so much that it turned sideways and the stroller tipped over (head over heels) and my son landed on his face. The only fix for this would be walking with the front wheel fixed at all times and that isn't practical.

I like the design of the stroller and how easy it is to set up and fold down, I like the little speakers and the fact that this stroller maneuvers well, but I HATE the tires! I've been using this stroller for 5 months now and I swear if they're not flat, they're overinflated and will bulge out of the rims! I also happened to run over a few goat head stickers one day and it totally flattened the tires. The stroller didn't even TRY to stand up to them :/

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogger Stroller - Sonic:

I bought this stroller mainly for the wheels. I have a 2-acre yard with rough terrain & I use this stroller mostly twice a day to push my daughter around. Been using it for 3 months & everything is still intact, no flat wheels & we have a lot of rusty nails in the yard. I like the sturdiness, easy front wheel lock, it comes with a 3 ft strap for security, adjustable shade, & it's easy to fold.
The things I wish it had: wider shade, removable tray, more accessible bottom compartment, less bulky, & deeper cup holders up on the handle bars.
My daughter is 6 months & she takes her naps in this stroller. Once in her stroller I hear no complaints.

Comments about Baby Trend Expedition LX Jogger Stroller - Sonic:

I registered for this stroller two years ago when my son was born. If you want to use it to walk its a nice stroller, however I knew I would be jogging with it. Once I started jogging with it even when the front wheel is locked the stroller gyrates and I run with the front wheel in the air which is difficult. I thought it was neat that it had speakers or my iPod but they are so low it's easier to keep the iPod on the highest volume and you get better sound. If my son is being silly in the stroller and pushes back the seat reclines all the way and I have to stop to fix it. Overall this is a poor stroller if you are looking to run/jog. I would definitely recommend something else.

This is a poor quality stroller. The seat feels like its made out of cardboard and has no cushioning. The straps are threaded to the seat so you can't adjust the height of the straps. The wheels are horrible too. They wobble if you aren't on a smooth surface so it feels unstable on sidewalks and any surface other than inside. Overall a poor quality stroller...buyers beware!!!

We don't usually jog, but we wanted something that would be smooth riding for a 2-3 mile walk with the dog daily. For the price, it works great compared to a regular stroller, and the front wheel only wobbles if it's not locked (those instructions to fix it do NOT work). We've used it on asphalt, grass, gravel, and smooth dirt without problems. If you're a real jogger/runner, then get something better and more expensive.

I purchased this stroller so that I could jog. It's easy to assemble, however that's the ONLY good thing about it. It shakes really bad when you go faster than a walk and the front tire skips. I've tried different adjustments on the front wheel, but nothing works. One time I was trying it out and the front tire skipped and the stroller went forward. If I didn't have a good grip on it, the baby would've flew forward. So unsafe!! VERY UNHAPPY with this product!!! Ugh!!!!

I purchased this stroller and the protection plan. The stroller seemed great in the store. But not even a week after I started using it, one of the back tires was flat. Babies R Us let me exchange it for a new one. Now the tires are flat again, so my husband brought it back to the store and they told him we have to call the number on the protection plan, so he did. He was told he has to buy a new stroller, either the same or similar, send them a receipt and wait up to two weeks for them to reimburse us.

This is ridiculous. Why don't they just send us new tires? How do I even know they are going to send a check? What if we don't have the extra money laying around right now to purchase a new stroller and wait for them to pay us back? I am without a jogging stroller now and extremely disappointed in Babies R Us and this brand.

Furthermore, for the price I paid for this stroller+the protection plan, I could have gotten a much better stroller than this piece of junk.
