My 3 year old loves this. She has been "checking" out my food every day. The cutest part is definitely the scanner that beeps and lights up. For the price, it is great. The more expensive ones don't come with scanners, so this is more age appropriate for my toddlers.

I got this for my 2 year old for Christmas and she loved it. Unfortunately we couldn't get the drawer opened. Eventually my 6 year old boy found out that if you smash the button with your fist as hard as you can the drawer will occasionally pop open. a few weeks into playing with it the button on the scanner started sticking and the beep would continue until I came in to unstick it. Now almost a month after getting this toy the conveyer belt is starting to stick now too. My kids love this toy and it would be by far one of their favorite toys if it would just not break down!!!!

          We bought this as a birthday present for our daughter for her third birthday. From the moment she opened it, she couldn't wait to play with it. Her birthday was almost two months ago already and she still plays with her cash register on a daily basis. She LOVES it! She loves the scanner the most, as well as the conveyor belt . We bought her a Just Like Home play food set so she had a variety of food to shop for. I highly recommend this toy to any parent. Also, our cash register did jam up once, but I learned a little trick. If you have one of the credit cards out, use that to jar the register open. It worked great for us!

          It would have been a great product if it didn't have these major issues:
          The coins do not fit in the drawer!
          LCD is not back lite so it's very hard to read.
          The conveyer is very small and flimsy.

          I would say it's a do not buy.

                We gave this to our daughter for her third birthday and she was immediately ALL about it. She has a shopping cart and playing grocery store is one of her favorites recently, but the 'check out' line was 100% pretend. Now it's more like the real deal.

                She loves the scanner and swiping the credit card. The conveyer belt could be a little bigger and better, but the idea is a good one and it's better than not having one at all. The only other improvement would be the money drawer coming out a bit farther, but it's not bad. The quality seems decent for the price, but she's only been using it for one day. All in all, I would definitely recommend this product.
