With this in mind, we have specifically designed the front of our crib in such a way that provides a more comfortable approach when gathering your child into your arms. The Wendy Forever Crib is the perfect crib because it transitions with you as your child grows by converting from a crib to a toddler bed, then a childs day bed and eventually a full-size bed (sold separately). Pali is committed to your childs safety and always uses non-toxic finishes that are regularly tested to ensure they exceed all required standards for lead and heavy metals. We are also committed to protecting our environment, which is just one of the reasons we have selected to use Radiatta Pine from sustainable forests in New Zealand. I have this crib and dresser in chocolate in my two year old daughter's room. This furniture scratches very easily. I don't think we will use this bed "forever" without sanding and restaining. It looks terrible. The dresser looks better than the crib, but it is also pretty scratched up. I would not reccommend this furniture. It's too expensive.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have this crib and the 6 drawer dresser in chocolate. I love it in the store (not bought at BRU), it was beautiful, elegant and unisex. I also like the fact that it's a forever crib. I figured, spend the money once and enjoy for a very long time. Well, the problems started on day one when my husband and I were putting the crib together. My DH tighten the bolt that attached the front rail to one of the sides. Without too much effort, the bolt almost went through the post and made a crack in the wood. I could not believe my eyes. How deep was the bolt hole that it let it go all the way through?
The biggest issue I have is with poor quality finish. I know that Pali uses non-toxic stains and finishes and maybe they are not as durable as some of the traditional chemicals. But the furniture scratches VERY easily. Before I even notice that my DS had his first tooth, he made scratches all around with his gums. After two year, the crib and the dresser look like we used them for years...scratches on drawer knobs, all over the crib even from belt buckles when I lean to put my DS in. Every time I look at it, I just want to cry. Now I'll have to spend more money to re-finish it. It's very disappointing. I have a Pali changing table, different collection, and it's a whole different story. I expected a consistent quality from a company like Pali.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
