The setup instructions were a little confusing. The tent itself is poorly made. The mattress straps do not work well at all. If the door string tears then the entire tent loses its shape. My son's lasted only two weeks and that was with us constantly going into the tent to place the support bars back in place. It looked great when I first set it up, but it is really for looks only. Does not function well for daily use, maybe if you had a two year old that barely climbed in and out of it and never played inside of it with any friends. I would say don't waste your money on this one.

This thing didn't last more then 3 hours. No joke! It is very cheaply made with it's PVC pipes, instead of fiberglass like every other tent made! Was VERY disappointed!

[...] Now I am completely irritated and my child continues to cry! I have an inconsolable 5 year old son who just received the most anticipated gift ever and it turned out to be garbage. It is worthless, poorly constructed, improperly sewn, and has become a complete birthday nightmare. I now have to call his aunt and tell her that the gift she sent was junk and we need to have her send the receipt so we can get a refund, provided she still has it, while risking offending her. He is my 6th child and this is the first traumatic gift experience we have ever had at any party.

It wasn't sewn together properly wen we took it out of the box, but I repaired it because our son really wanted to us it. It was really silky material that tore the second day he had it. He was very careful, but the tent fell apart anyway. After the seond week, it went into the tash.

I was thrilled that my mother-in-law got this for my 3 year old for his birthday. That is, until we put it up. As soon as we put it on his bed I noticed the front flap binding had already torn. The material frayed terribly. As my little boy & his cousins played in it, it tore worse & frayed more. The string on the bottom of the opening also doesn't make sense to me. I cut it off because my little boy kept getting caught in it. I *love* the idea, but either I got a lemon or the quality is just all-together poor. I'm also having a lot of difficulty finding the manufacturer to complain to them.

My son is three and adores Cars, and all things Cars. He was beyond ecstatic to get a McQueen bed tent for Christmas. He doesn't play in his bed, just goes there to sleep. That is the only reason this bed tent is still in one piece, as it is the cheapest, flimsiest, and most poorly designed item my child owns. I still doubt it will last until Easter. Sad.

I did not have super high expectations, considering the price. And I still managed to feel disapointed. My son's tent pole bent while I was trying to assemble the thing. I taped a support to that portion of the pole. But the cheap material and the cheap poles result in a product that barely holds its shape. The silly little straps to hold it on the bed are completely functionless.

My daughter, 4, got the identical tent in fairy print, and it has suffered more. She actually likes to sit in her tent and read and that is more than the tent could take. Just from her climbing in and out of the thing, the poles come apart and it has fallen off the bed a few times. Yesterday it fell off the bed and the pole busted through the material in one corner.

I have learned my lesson and will replace both tents with sturdier ones.

I was hoping that my almost-five year old could enjoy this bed tent he got for a long time. He is not a wild kid, so I knew he would take care of it. However, after only sleeping/playing in it for a day or two(watching movies in it with his little DVD player), the poles started to buckle. Also, the mattress straps came off every time he went in and out. Several of the support poles come out too, and I have to climb in over and over and put them back in place. I also had to tape one of the main corner poles because it started to buckle and break. I was very disappointed. I would not buy one of these again.

I had a bed tent when I was a kid (except mine did not strap around the mattress...the bottom of the tent was a fitted sheet that was attached to the canopy part--much better)...anyway, I was excited for my 4 year old to get one for Christmas. The poles come apart every time he climbs in. One of the cheap plastic support poles bent, and I had to rig it by taping a knife to it to keep it straight. The straps come off the mattress every time he comes in and out of it, and he just has a standard twin. There is an annoying string that runs across the opening (mattress level) that he has to climb over every time he comes in and out, and it's not like you can just cut it off...found that out. If it is not attached, that side of the tent has no arch and collapses. He is not a rough and tumble kid, so it's not like he is doing flips in the thing. It is so cheap that the fabric is see-through, the form won't stay assembled, and the opening is tearing from all of the readjustments to keep it together. I would gladly have paid more to get a decent tent. If I were you, I wouldn't waste my money on this.
