LOVE this chair and ottoman set!! Bought it for our daughter and granddaughter who live with us and we all could not be happier!! It is so comfy!! Unlike others who have commented we still (after almost a year of use) have had absolutely no negative issues with this set.
I, at first, was hestitant about buying this because we live nowhere near a BabysRUs and I worried about returning, replacing and returning again. Straight out of the box the very first time and everything was perfect!!
We ALL love it!!!

So comfy, perfect glide, great night time snuggle spot! My daughter and I call this "our" chair and just love it. It's made in the USA too! I highly recommend!

After reading the reviews, I almost didn't get this, but I kept going to the store and sitting in it, and eventually, I just committed to it... and I haven't regretted it once. It is incredibly comfortable. I have fallen asleep in it many times because it is just so relaxing. I am actually excited to move it down to our living room at some point so that I can curl up on it. The fabric looks great and the construction seems really solid. I have heard it creak, but it's never been consistent or loud. It is a little hard to get through doorways because it is so wide, but that might also have been because I was 9 months pregnant when we brought it into the nursery... :)

I purchased this chair because in spite off the reviews, it was so comfy!! I also bought the ottoman too. When I got the chair home, I was relieved that nothing was broken like some of the other posters had issues with, but as soon as I sat in it, it squeaked/grinded. I wasn't worried because I knew my hubby could WD40 it. However we he flipped it over we realized its not the metal gliding mechanism that squeaked but the wood that the metal was mounted to. After a few days of trying to decide whether or not I wanted to return the chair (I suggest buying the protection plan!) My chair stopped squeaking! My husband kept telling me to let it 'settle in' and it worked. Not sure if the issue is forever fixed but it was nice to not have to deal with it 8 months preggo with my 3rd! Other than that the chair its very sturdy, is so comfortable and us now on sale! It was a headache but I'd suggest strongly in buyingthe protection plan!

Purchased as a surprise from my daughter-in-law's baby nursery. It was on her wish list and I was so excited about having it set up in the nursery when she returned from out of town but, the surprise was on me. Right out of the box it was broken. It sat lopsided. After looking under the chair the main frame was broken completely into.

Very Poor Quality!
I used the chair soon after my son was born, within weeks, I couldnt believe it...the fabric tears on the arms and the ottoman! My chair after 2 months looks like a cheap 20 yr old chair. Listen to the reviews! It definately squeeks! But the fabric is cheap and tears, showing the white cushioning underneath. If you want a quality chair, buy it elsewhere, Newco doesnt make quality. If you dont listen to the reviews, do yourself a favor and buy the protection plan, as you WILL use it and often! I didnt buy it since I thought, what could go wrong with a chair? For the $ you spend on this chair, you would hope nothing. Not the case. Babysrus referred my complaint about the chair to the manufacturer. The manufacturer promised a replacement. However after several calls, and emails ....no chair. 8 mths later, I filed a complaint with attorney general. Finally a response and the manufacturer wants $250 for shipping a new chair to me! The warrenty from manufacturer is useless, so consider no warrenty with this product. Go spend your $ on a quality chair from an actual furniture store, not a reseller of cheap overpriced furniture. This product should say all sales final, since you are stuck with it, after you realize its junk.

I loved this chair in the store. We ordered it and it didn't take long to get it. It took awhile for the back of the chair (pillowy part) to sit back enough so it didn't push my head forward. Now that doesn't bother me as much, but it is a little hard to use with
my daughter now. She is 6 months and her feet hit the arm rest/sides of the chair because they have no where else to go. I'm not sure if I'll be able to nurse her in it much longer depending on how fast she grows. Also it's not the best chair for shorter people because of the pillowy back that pushes your head forward and I think because of my height it's even more uncomfortable.

It's a nice chair but has gotten harder to nurse in as my daughter has gotten longer.

I read all the reviews and was really nervous about getting it home. I have no complaints at all. It is smooth gliding, super comfy, and makes no noise what so ever. I rocked in it forever just to make sure. My daughter isn't even here yet and I spend every evening in it because it is the only comfortable seat I have now. LOVE LOVE LOVE this chair!

We purchased the Newco Serenity Classic non-swivel glider in Chocolate Chenille for our baby's nursery in January 2012. So far, we really like this glider. We wanted the [@] look without the price and this glider fits the bill. It's also more comfortable than the gliders at [@]. The back of the glider is higher to rest your head/neck/shoulders. This glider is extremely comfortable overall. I too was skeptical at first to purchase the glider because of all the complaints of squeaking but we took our chances. Our glider actually started to squeak after we were using it for a few weeks but my husband just oiled the parts underneath and now there is absolutely no squeaking at all. The matching ottoman has never squeaked for us. Also, be sure you can fit it through the doors, turns, etc. of your home. It fit in ours but was tight.
