First of all, the instructions that came with this crib are pasted on to the actual base of the mattress so how is one supposed to put it together and reference back to the instructions at the same time..a book in the form of a user's manual would have been way more efficient! My husband and 2 friends were going to put it together thinking it would be that much easier with 6 hands..WRONG! Each piece of the crib was supposed to be labeled by letter for "easy assemble" so ask me if ANY of the pieces were labeled? None of them were labeled with anything! No big deal as we are not imbeciles and can definitely look at a picture to see what piece goes where. The instructions jump from putting the base together to the whole crib almost being put together. This is ridiculous as none of the instructions from the start have matched to the actual pieces of the crib. The hardware meaning the screws and such didn't fit some of the pre-cut holes and some holes were way to big where we had to bang the screw holders out bc they went too far in...NIGHTMARE![...]This has been just a nightmare when all we want to do is have a beautiful nursery for when our baby arrives in 3 weeks! I do not recommend Storkcraft as the make of the crib SUCKS [...]

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It took almost an hour for my husband to assemble this crib. yay for him because there is NO way I could have done it. The crib is exactly as pictured and is sturdy. The only issue I had was that I bought the black and there was a sticker on one of the side panels. When I removed the sticker the paint came off with it. I painted over it with some acrylic paint so its not too noticeable but, it is definately not a perfect match. Other than that.......no problems.I haven't bought a matress yet but, don't think fit will be an issue. Cant wait for our little one to arrive and try it out.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The crib is awesome and well made. It just took about 4 hours to assemble bc all of the pieces! Other than that...i would buy again!
