I wanted a full size crib for my grandchildren but wanted to be able to store it when not needed. This crib is the only one I've found that uses a full size crib mattress but folds in half for storage.

This is a great sturdy crib. My only complaint is that it came with a lot of nicks and scratches on it. I didnt have the time or energy to return and get a new one.

I bought this because we don't have the room in our home to always have a crib up and our grandchild visits here only about once a month.
The concept is great - but the details are just OK. First, the directions are simple drawings which aren't particularly accurate. I was able to figure it out because there aren't many ways to do it wrong.
The wood finish is also just OK - no scratches and it came well packed, but there are places that are a little rough. There was a definite smell when we opened the box. I'm not sure if it's from the finish or from the pressboard base, but I'm hoping it will go away.
When the base of the crib is in the low position, the base rests on a bar that extends the full length of the crib. It seems very well supported However, when it's on the higher setting, it rests just on 1" plastic supports at each end - nothing supports it along the middle of the side of the crib. The higher setting would probably be used only with a very young infant, but I'd probably always use only the lower level just to be safe. Raising the base to re-adjust the height or fold the crib is a little tricky because it tends to catch against the trim on the footboard and headboard. 2 people make it much easier.
This was the only full size crib I could find that is portable. The price was reasonable. I think it is safe and sturdy if the mattress is in the lower position. We'll keep it, but I think there is room for improvement in the details.
