I had the Graco Alano Flip It system before and got tired of how heavy and difficult it was to use. Worst of all, it hardly fit in my trunk (and I drive a mid-size sedan). Frustrated, I decided to take a shot on something new. I hadn't even heard of Combi before so I was skeptical but I am so glad I bought it. First I bought their Savvy Lx stroller because it was on super sale, it was cute, lightweight, easy to fold like an umbrella stroller, and had great features like a full-size stroller had. Then I realized it had an infant car seat that matched and supported more weight than my Graco SnugRide. Again I took another leap and was pleasantly surprised:

1) this car seat is easy to carry and the handle feels more durable and comfortable
2) it latches in and out of the base easier than other car seats
3) it has better head support for side-impact crashes
4) accomodates tall babies with the sliding backrest
5) wider straps don't twist and provide comfort
6) and let's not forget how cheery and cute it is! Classic design!

I will never go back to any other brand. I am so happy I came across this great car seat and travel system!

The car seat is NOT bulky like the Graco, Cosco, & Evenflo carseats. They fit well on the matching umbrella strollers. The strollers are AWESOME! 3 second fold and not a hassle to open and close. You won't regret your decision. Worth the Price!

My husband and I used this car seat daily. It fit perfect in the backseat of my car which isn't that big. The rebound bar made it much safer to put our son in the back of his truck since there were no hooks in the seat to clip the base down with and the seat belt didn't really hold the base down very well. So we put the car seat in there with out the base and thanks to the rebound bar the thing never moved. My son is a very long baby to so he was able to stay in this seat for a while my parents had bought a Graco seat for when they had him and he outgrew the length part with in 3 months.

It is easy to put in and take out the visor could be a little bit longer sometimes it wouldn't cover completely. I always got complements on how great it looked. It is easy to adjust the straps and move them up or down in the back. It can get heavy, but all car seats do. It is a little bulky when taking in and out of the car. There is a lot of room for the baby though and my son always seemed very comfortable when sitting in it.

After reading about almost every car seat on quite a few different websites as well as all of the reviews that were posted about the different car seats, I decided to by this one. Some infant car seats that were more expensive like Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Infant Car Seat and Britax Chaperone Infant Car Seat had reviews saying that they were too narrow or that they didn't recline far enough and those were worrisome reviews; however most of the bad reviews for the Combi car seat was due to it being too heavy which wasn't a good enough reason for me not to buy it. I didn't look at convertible car seats because I wanted a seat that I would be able to take out of the car when I went shopping. There are a few imperfections with this seat such as, adjusting the handle or taking it from the base can't be done with total ease, but when you compare those slight inconveniences with the fact that the car seat is very sturdy and has great head support I think that it's worth it. Now, there is one more thing about the seat that I need to mention and I would label it as an issue rather than a flaw. If you have a big baby he/she might grow out of this car seat sooner than you'd like. My son is six months old and he weight 22lbs and 9oz, so I'm ordering him a convertible car seat this weekend so that he'll have more wiggle room. He is my second child and his big sister was just about the same weight as he is when she was six months old over seven years ago, but at that time we had a Graco car seat (it was a gift) and I hated it almost every minute that I had it and I swore to never buy one; however she did fit in that seat for twice as long as he did this one. Anyway, I've enjoyed having this seat and I don't regret buying it at all.

bought this in color midnight moonlight love the color but is too heavy. Also it is very hard to take out of the base. you cannot use it on all store carts on some of them it doesn't fit.

The carrier is SUPER cute, but not exactly the easiest thing to haul arround. The carrier itself is already pretty heavy, so when you put a 12 lb baby in it, it can be somewhat uncomfortable to lug around. Seat harness is also a little hard to snap in place. My son seems to be comfortable inside it. I am content with the product, but if had to do over I would have purchased something a little easier and lighter. I get a lot of compliments on the color and style.

This car seat is awesome! The colors are so bright and beautiful in person. I especially love the pattern inside the canopy. I love that it has a rebound bar, which makes it safer. The headrest and seat padding seem comfortable. The fabric is really soft (but breathable) and the plastic is thick. You can tell that this is a high quality car seat just by looking at it. It may be a little heavy, but that makes it safer and sturdier, plus you can use this car seat up to 33lbs so a little extra weight is fine! The design of seat and even the base seem sleek and modern. I get compliments on it all the time! Don't worry about the review that said that it will not fit into shopping carts because it is unsafe to put a car seat in the top of a shopping cart anyway! If you are deciding whether it is worth it to spend the extra money and get this one over a Graco or some other cheaper car seat, it is definitely worth it! The car seat is the single most important thing you will buy for your child, and you will not be disappointed with the Combi Shuttle!

I use this carseat everyday, for several hours, sometimes all day and i love it. My two month old and I travel a lot, this seat is amazing; it's so easy to wash, seems to be very comfortable and the color is great. I dont find it difficult to detach the seat from the base, the trick to it is to pull the lever THEN lift up, you cannot do them at that same time. The only problem i have with it is it is a bit large, which is great for my growing baby but it leaves little leg room for the passenger infront. I have a RAV 4, i didnt think the fit would be an issue but it has been. I have found that it actually fits better in my friends Saab than my small SUV, surprisingly. Using it without the base does save space but can be a hassle. It also does get a bit heavy if you are carrying it around, I assume all carseats do though. The sunshade can get in the way of the handle when changing the postion but i dont find it to be an inconvience. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and am constantly getting compliments on this carseat.

I loved that this set came in a compact travel system (with the combi cosmo dx stroller). Always had trouble getting it to click into the stroller and is hard to get out of the car seat base but we survived. After a few months of use, the plastic pieces in the canopy broke so we had to pay $13 to buy replacement pieces. Also doesn't fit into things like shopping carts at the stores since it's an unpopular brand. I don't think it seems comfortable at all - doesn't have newborn insert. It's so heavy! I think it weighs 5-8 lbs empty.
