The instructions are incomplete -- they do not describe the actual method of beading. One would have to be an octopus to hold nine tiny,tiny beads in place between ten threads without dislodging any thread or any bead WHILE -at the same time - passing a needle through the same said beads again without dislodging any aforesaid beads or threads. Fortunately, after setting up the loom and struggling with the first set of nine beads, we realized the futility of the project. Only one hour was wasted. After we train our pet octopus, we may try again.

This looked like fun, but was very hard to set up. Then the needle would not fit through the beads. So, we cannot make a bracelet. Perhaps when she is older, we will try some of our other needles. We would return it, but it was a gift.

I can't believe that products like this are even sold - they are less than worthless- not even worth one star. The materials are inferior and the instructions are impossible. The worst part is, as has been mentioned in other reviews, that the pictures appeal to little girls who want so badly to be creative and then are terribly disappointed in their (and their mothers') efforts at a craft that could never make what is misleadingly shown on the front.

Save yourself the headache and DO NOT PURCHASE this product. It's impossible. Really. No lie. The product is terrible and the instructions are even worse.
After an hour or two of pulling my hair out trying to make this work, my daughter looked at me and said...mom, we don't have to do this. we can take it back. Bless her soul.

Very frustrating product!we just tried this with 2 girls ages 7 and 9 impossible! The sad thing is tehy were so excited to do it, but it really is undoable. We even tried using our own thread and needle,, but that made it almost worse.

It's completly useless.On the packAge it said it was 6+.My daughter is 9 years and we spent 45 minutes just trying to put the thread into the needle.The hole in the needle was too small to put the thread through. I tried some of our own needles but the beads are so small that they would not slide through. On the loom, the instructions said only one bead between two threads . But the beads are so small that they don't stay in place between the two threads.We ended up returning the toy.it was not meant for kids that youngA loom and thread are not for kids that age.Its more complicated than fun:(

OH MY goodness! I finally threw my hands up in total frustration before enlisting my engineer husband to take over. It took him quite awhile to figure it out all the while cursing the blasted thing! However, being the engineer that he is!? He is sitting here doing it anyway! He feels determined and challenged as his daughter cheers him on! As he strands he is telling her that this is the biggest crock of a 'toy' that he has ever endured. She is desperate for him to finish the bracelet. I'm doubtful it will happen, but if anyone can do it? He can. It was a gift. Too bad we can't return it and get some Legos. After all, it doesn't take a genious to use those!!!

Great idea. Does not work. After 3 hours, we had placed 7 beads. Way too difficult for me and my 10 year old let alone a 6 year old. Don't think anyone would have the time or patience to make this work.

This product is not appropriate for the listed age group. My daughter loves crafting and we have all sorts of beading kits. This one is more geared to a young teen then a 6 year old. I had 2 girls (7 and 9) attempting to read the directions and follow the threading pattern. It was simply too difficult for them to accomplish anything. The designs are too complex, the patterns are difficult to follow. Bead looms can be lots of fun, but save this product for older crafters.
