Cushioned sides and head support cradle baby's body, providing increased support in car seats and strollers. This reversible support has plush velour on one side and a soft cotton on the other, providing comfort to baby in any season, and offering two different styles for Mom to choose from. Its shape was designed to fit snugly around infants of all sizes. Baby's head and neck are supported and kept upright by thick padding located at the sides and around the head rather than distributed throughout the back. I purchased two of these as gifts for brand new baby twin girls in my family! I love the thickness, softness, color, & pattern of the JJ Cole's pink newborn body support. The fact that it is reversible, & very resonably priced is great also. I feel this product gives plenty of comfort, support, and safety for the baby; which is why I chose this particular style & brand! And I thought the color & design pattern were perfect for new baby girls! It can be used in swings, seats, strollers, car seats, etc., so many uses! The new parents of these twins were thrilled with this product, & excited to use them!!

Nothing is wrong with it, its durable, holds up well in the wash (though the light fabric does let stains show)and it definitely provides support. My problem is that my daughter was born 6 pounds and when she was that size it worked great for her in the car seat, now she's only 5 weeks old and is 8 pounds and the padding in the sides of this pillow is too much for her. The side padding inside the carrier squishes my baby's body and overheats her in the warm weather. We stopped using this thick body pillow when she was 4 weeks old because it was too much for her. We continued using the head support and I wish we had a thinner body padding, but no body padding is better than using this thick one. It was great for the first few weeks, but now it just sits in her closet. I wouldn't buy it again just because of how little usage we actually got out of it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

borrowed this from a friend after her daughter had grown out of it. Worked great, my daughter used it for about 4 months before she could be comfortable in her seat without it. Although you don't use it for long, it was so worth it. I will definitely be buying one for baby #2.

Bought this for my new baby because I loved the color and feel of it. Brought my 7 lb 9 oz baby home from the hospital with the insert in the car seat, but it was so bulky that I felt like I was packing the baby in. I only used the body pillow part 2 times before removing it and just using the head rest.
For a windy road trip, I ended up removing the headrest too because it didn't provide the necessary support - need something deeper to keep the baby's head from "flopping around." Was disappointed with this product.

we didn't buy this for our first kid, but I believe it's extremely comfortable and snugs the kid and makes them cozy in the car seat, I would suggest for every parent to buy this for their kid.
