Having tried literally EVERY bottle on the market, I can honestly say that Dr. Brown's standared size are the BEST, hands down. Sure, they may not work well for everyone, but after 3 kids, one of whom had severe colic and gas issues, I wouldn't recommed any other. After 6 or 7 months, I changed to the inexpensive Gerber bottles, then to a cup. For a newborn, you can't go wrong having at least one of these on hand to start with!

At first I couldn't stand these and how many pieces there are but after trying 2 other brand, my son spit up the least with these. I've been recommending them ever since. I would rather put up with all the parts rather than him spit up the large amount he was with the others.

I actually love the original Dr. Brown's bottles so I decided to try the wide-neck bottles. Though the Dr. Brown's website says the majority of their products are Made in the USA, the Wide Neck Bottles are not. I ordered this set online and discovered the bottles were Made in China. This goes for the 4 oz 2 packs as well.

I LOVE these bottles! We started out using Medela bottles because I was pumping and supplementing with formula. My son was hysterically crying the first week or two of his life, so we thought he has colic or a gas problem. We went out that day and bought these bottles, and he's loved them ever since! The wide neck is better for us since I was still trying to breastfeed, and I like the look of this bottle better. Only thing is you don't need to buy the newborn set. If I knew then, I would have just bought the 8oz because my son started drinking more than 4oz very quickly. Now we just use them for juice since we only give him small amounts. Cleaning the bottles and the parts isn't a big deal especially since I use a bottle sterilizer. I will recommend these bottles to anyone!

After trying out other brands like Playtex we finally bought Dr. Brown's. What a difference it made. My daughter has always been a picky eater, she never drank more than 3Oz at a time when she was an infant. But after we introduced Dr. Brown's her milk intake went up to 5Oz and there fewer spit ups.These bottles have more parts than others but they are easy to clean. I washed them by hand for a long time and now just put in the top rack of the dishwasher. Great product. I always gift these to my friends when I am giving them something for a new baby.
I would hihgly recommend it, just remembr to replace the nipples every few months.

I registered for the Dr. Brown's bottle and i love them. I also bought the glass bottle for my newborn son and i never had any problem with them. Yes baby had gas at first but the bottle is helping him .Dr. Brown is one of the best brand of bottles.

Registered for these as we wanted the best for our first baby. We used them for a month and mealtime was very unpleasant. Even with the level 1 nipple our little guy could gulp milk. He would fuss and cry during and after each meal and you could hear the gas in his little belly. We've since switched to the playtex nursers with the drop in liners and have noticed such a positive change. Mealtime is now a positive and less messy experience. Our little one still has some gas but the constant fussing is gone. I felt compelled to post a review to let other parents know that sometimes fancy/pricey designs aren't always better.

I bought this bottles because they promise less gas and colic for my baby. However each time I used them, my baby always needed to burp like a drunk man on a bar! Also the flow of milk never stops even if the baby is not drinking! My LO many times gagged because he wanted a little brake during the feeding and couldn't have it. In addition, the cleaning part is a nightmare! When you bottle fed a baby and need to clean a lot of bottles each day and it takes you like 45 minutes because of all the little parts, you just want to scream!
Putting the bottles together in the middle of the night is also burdensome not to mention how much they leak if you prepare formula on them. Also, when you are on the go, you need to maintain the bottle upright otherwise it will leak.
Finally when I tried a different brand of bottle (Avent) I didn't notice any difference in my baby's colic or gas. My baby still burps like a drunk man and doesn't not spit up or has colic. Nevertheless, he can have pauses while he eats (the milk doesn't flow if the baby doesn't want to), mommy has less parts to clean and we have a bottle that doesn't leak on the go.

Purchased because we tend to be over cautious and went with these bc of us nursing and wanted less problems w/nipple confusion (wide-neck) for our daughter. Bottles tend to scratch easily when cleaning w/brush. I did have multiple problems with leaking. It didn't matter if fluid was warm, room temp, or cold (daughter prefered cold when she was teething). fluid started to leak out of sides after 3 months of use. Plus our lil bug figured out if she applied pressure to the nipple, she could squirt milk out; and with her super baby strenth, she was able to pull nipple out if i didn't tighten it enough so u needed the jaws of life to take off. Another thing about cleaning is that it is time consuming. So buyer beware because it can be tedious. Wide-neck parts can be hard to find replacement parts. Most found on clearance rack. Must have inserts in the bottle or bottle will leak. daughter wasn't too gasy bc of breast milk and healthy diet; so i can't say if it prevents or cuts back on acid reflux.Would recommend to purchase ONE bottle to see if its the bottle for you. Our daugther prefered normal sized bottles because of too large size for small hands.

my baby still is fussy most of the day due to gas and spits up. i don't blame the bottle, but it is obviously not a cure all. i'm over cleaning all of the different parts and you have to tighten the top with a kung-fu grip to prevent leaking (and sometimes they still leak).
