Not a good choice for BMX riders.You need to look at the Nitrous collection by Eastern Bikes.They have QUALITY parts and better beginner bikes.I recommend the Eastern Shock.It has an 18.5" frame. Much better that this so called "bike."

My mom and I were looking through toysrus.com looking for a good BMX bike. When I saw this, I was hooked. I started looking at specs right away. And on [@], out of 510 other BMX bikes, rates as the 3rd best BMX bike. I ordered it [...] I was very impressed after i put it together. The gear ratios are just right to allow me to get amazing acceleration, reaching speeds from 20-30 MPH (Keeping up with a Nissan) instantly. Mine arrived very greasy though, which affected braking. All that is needed to remedy this though is rubbing the outer rim where the brake pad makes contact and the brake pads themselves with a degreaser such as rubbing alcohal. The pedals are metal instead of the usual plastic, the pegs which are on all 4 corners of the bike, are great. (They allow me to do tricks :) )The bike is 41 lbs so you have to be strong...The red and black paint looks great inside, and looks incredible in the sun. The colors are also coordinated perfectly. The wheels? Well the wheels are the AWESOME.Overall, I give this bike a 5/5. I would give it a 5,000,000,000 if could!!! I recommend this bike to any BMX enthusiast.
