    Barbie dolls are to expand, the child's imagination. I understand that it is a beach doll, but todays girls should embrace the "barefoot" mentality that generations before endured. The product should have come with sandals.

            I'm getting this doll for my daughter who loves Barbies. She has others with "big feet" and it doesn't bother her. Did anyone writing these comments happen to notice this doll's attire? She's going to the beach! For heaven's sake, what on earth does she need to wear pumps (or any other shoes) for? Live a little - take time to feel the sand between your toes. Besides, it's one less thing to lose anyway. Plus, you can't beat the price!

            It was an extremely cheap doll, so I wasn't expecting much (we just wanted to get Shelby out of the store.) Shelby still plays with the doll and regards it just as highly as her expensive Barbies, and although my other 8 year old sister did discover a flaw in her foot size, the 3 year old lost all Barbie's shoes anyway.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
