    It was well packed but arrived with a chunk of styrofoam missing. Since the chunk was not in the box, obviously it was packed and sent that way, which is annoying. We returned it at the local store for another so I am happy enough with the helmet, not so much with Toysrus.com. Otherwise it looks good, matches my son's bike, and seems pretty well made. (I'm guessing the first one got dropped in the warehouse since there were a couple dents as well as a chunk missing.) I prefer one with more padding but we just added our own since it was a little big for our 8 year old with a 19 inch head. I would prefer one that allowed you to switch out the pads but guess that's too much to expect for the price (my helmets have always had the pads attached with velcro and these very small pads are glued in).

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
