[...] Furniture is extremely sturdy, was easy to put together, and was packaged VERY well. There was no way anything was getting scratched! Very pleased with this purchase. The edges are rubbed and there are slight hints of red on the edges. It gives the furniture a vintage look. I love it!

From what I saw when crib shopping, this crib is above and beyond. It is sturdy and feels like higher quality than many that are out there. It is a big piece of furniture though, takes up quite a bit of room but very nice overall.

We got this crib 3 years ago when our son was born and it's holding up very well. It is very sturdy-you can't budge it, which is nice if you have a kid who jumps around a lot in it. It has gorgeous details, which do take a little more effort to clean, but is easily done with a microfiber cloth. It is not solid black, it has some light color(blonde-ish)highlights throughout that give the bed more dimension. The only drawback I have is that when I attached the mobile when my son was a baby, it had to go on tightly because the top rail is very wide, which made it difficult to attach the mobile. The wood slats (2 of them)ended up dented because the mobile was so tight. A little of the paint chipped but it's not a big deal because the blonde wood underneath the black looks like the blonde highlights already there. It's just if you look real closely, [...] It comes with all the hardware to turn it into a daybed, and it's been done twice (the first time about 5 months ago, our son wasn't quite ready).My husband doesn't seem to have a problem converting it. Now that our second son is due soon, after reading reviews on a few cribs we were looking at in the store, we may purchase this same crib for the new baby. I really don't have any major complaints! It doesn't scratch very easily-our first son was not a chewer so I don't know if a baby could chew the paint off like some other reviews I've read, but it doesn't seem like it could happen easily. Very sturdy bed and pretty happy with it 3 years later...can't wait to see it in the full bed!

I got this bed for my son when he was 4 months old, and it has been a godsend (my son is now 2 and a half). It's built like a rock, none of that swaying back and forth like you see with cheaper cribs. It's very easy to put together and transport if you need to. The wood detail is beautiful and perfect for a little boy (or girl, but I'm so used to a boy being in it it's become manly to me lol). The only bad thing I can even think of about this crib is the fact that you have to be a little more thorough in cleaning it because of all the detail in it. But really, that's not even a bad thing. Definitely worth every penny!! Oh, and the conversion toa toddler bed is a breeze - my son loves it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
