Great game

We bought this game for our 4 year old. He plays this game everyday and loves it. He spends more time playing in his leapster then watching tv.

The movie was so great, I decided I needed to get this game even though it had mixed reviews. We have a 5 year old boy and 6 year old girl and bought quite a few games, including Toy Story 3, Penguins of Madagascar, Wolverine and X-Men, Tangled, and Princess and the Frog.

For both of my kids, this is easily their least favorite game. It is very boring, plays like a board game where you spin cards and move on a game board for every number of "sounds" in the word. For instance, they may say "fish" and you need to pick three sounds (fff, iii, shhh). If you pick the right number, Woody moves three spots. Then you do it all over again with an occasional side game. It is very repetitive. I think there are better options out there for your child and I am wondering if the people that gave good reviews don't have any other games for comparison? Honestly, I may actually try to do an exchange for Mr. Pencil or something, it is that bad!

For my son, he absolutely loves the action in Penguins of Madagascar and X-Men. X-Men is a little more graphic and complicated, but these play more like a Super Mario Bros and/or Street Fighter type games, with educational stuff slipped in. My daughter likes Tangled, but Princess and the Frog is nothing to be too excited about. In fact, the video doesn't even fill up the LCD display, whcih is weird.

Comments about LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game - Disney Pixar Toy Story 3:

I like this game as does my son. It works begining reading, phonics and other begining reading skills. I have several complaints. The game is repeative. The can have the same problems several times in a row. The voice of the narrator has a southern twang to it which makes spelling difficult for young kids.

      Lots of fun.

Comments about LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game - Disney Pixar Toy Story 3:

My son is a huge Toy Story fan, so this game was an instant hit with him. He is 3 1/2 years old and he learned how to do many things on his own. I have helped him with some of the challenges, and there is plenty for him to still learn. I love that he is learning as he plays. I do wish they had an advanced level as he starts to master the game.

This is the worst LeapPad game. I wish I would have listened to the reviews when I read them before I bought this game for my son. Such a waste of money. He loves Toy Story, but has no interest in this game!

My son loves this game. He has already played an hour in a 24 hr. period. I am just wondering why it is showing up as an ebook? It makes me wonder if it is correctly publishing the data from the game.

My 3.5 yro son has no trouble playing this game..... he spends at least an hour entertained by this game and the game and feaures cause him the least amount of frustration compared to the others. The game is easy for him to comprehend ... he actually enjoys sounding out the words and in one day has almost mastered learning how to count the sounds. While he is playing.....I can actually get something done.

Both my 5year old and 3 1/2 year old love this game. Its engaging and the instructions are easy to understand. This game suites curious children who want game that will continue to engage and challenge them. My daughter loves the Roller sling and Buzz Cannon My son loves Alien tap and sounding out the words. My kids also love the Spelling mode as they can play together even though the older one always wins. This Game saved my opinion of the leapfrog games as the other one we have is dreadful.
