The Avigo Striker X BMX Bike is a great buy for the price. However the first one delivered came with a warped rear wheel. Purchased from Toys R Us Ebay and delivered direct to my home was great as I cannot get out to shop. When Christmas came no one had noticed due to it being hidden. That's where Toys R Us in Gainesville came to the rescue.

The quality of the product is very good and the bike was easy to assemble with only a few common household tools. I especially like the stitched leather seat, the chain guard and the ease of the front and back hand brakes. My son loves the finish/color of the bike.

I brought this product for my nephew. He was excited when he seen his new bike. He did't complain about anything wrong with this product. To assemble it was easy. I think it is a great buy.

We ordered these bikes to be shipped to our home because they could not find the bikes in the store - when we opened and put together the bikes there were several defects in the decals and some of the padding was torn. these were our boys big Christmas gifts. We fixed them best as we could, bikes work fine, boys loved them, just paid for new bikes and received damaged ones. Store made good on it though.

I took the first Avigo Striker X back the day after Christmas. Big disappointment for My son.I had to pry the front forks apart to get the front wheel in place. The front forks were over tightened and the bearings ground like, they had sand in them, as did the pedal assembly, and a funny clicking was coming from the back wheel, like it was assembled wrong. The second Avigo Striker I tried to return on the 2nd day after Christmas, because it was even worse than the first, paint scrapes from poor handling, all the same bearing problems as before, and the front wheel was grinding this time, so bad you could'nt spin it freely by hand, before it was mounted. But the kicker this time TOYS R US would not give me my money back for this bike. They said, policy is, they have to be given the chance to fix it. I say, it is the last item, I will ever get from Toys R US. Do not buy this Bike or any other Avigo product if can help it.

My son saved his own money to buy this bike and had it less than a month before the chain started popping off. We thought it was the guard so removed it, tightened things up, etc. The chain still continues to pop off consistently. To top things off, he was in a bike race this summer with another little boy who had gotten this identical bike for Christmas and they both were disqualified from their races because BOTH of them had the chain pop in the middle of a 500 yard race! Other mom said their bike has the same consistent problem. The disappointment for these boys was heartbreaking. I definitely DO NOT recommend this bike. Toys R Us needs to fix this problem!

We bought this bike for my sons 7th birthday...We assembled the bike and he got on it to ride...however the pedals proved that they would turn like they are supposed to but they would not turn the chain...not sure what is wrong...returning it to store to have them take a look

My son chose this bike for his birthday in June 2011. He'd complained that the chain would not stay on the sprockets. We thought it was related to the chain guard being bent, so we removed that. It seemed ok for a while but he still would have trouble once in a while. This weekend (July '12) the chain fell off after he heard a bang and he couldn't get it to stay back on. I inspected the running gear and found the bearings at the pedals to have about 1/8" of play and no way to tighten. These bearings are shot. They must have been assembled incorrectly or made from inferior materials/cheap steel. A fully grown adult should not have been able to wear down this part, let alone an 8 year old boy. Very disappointing for me and my son.
