The lava lamp did not work ever. It heated and clumped up on the bottom. It's been in my car waiting to return. Too bad because it's cute for my Hello Kitty fan and would be cool if it worked!

I bought this for my daughers 8th birthday. She is crazy about Hello Kitty. Its ok, but the "lava" doesnt move very much. I had one, and the "lava" moved all the time. This one has split the "lava" into sections, one at the top and one at the bottom. Every now and then a piece will float to the other end, but basically does move. Very disappointed.

I haven't actually used the item, which is a lava lamp, but when I received it, the shipping box was in terrible shape. It was pretty banged up, so much so, that I was worried my lamp would be in pieces in there. Luckily for me, it was not. The lamp is a Christmas gift so I haven't plugged it in to use it, but hopefully it will work.

I bought this lamp for my 8 year old daughter, who is a huge Hello Kitty fan. She got it for Christmas and loved it. After using it 3-4 hours each night for about a month, the blobs didn't float very much. Then about 1-2 weeks after that, the light bulb blew. Replacement bulbs are impossible to find- we have exhausted our searches on the internet, and have called several lighting stores. The specs here state that it is a "standard 25 watt bulb", but the product has a sticker which states "To reduce the risk of fire, use 20 watt type R39(R12) lamp max". I'm not really comfortable putting a lamp with the wrong wattage in my daughter's room while she sleeps.

This lamp was great for about 3-4 weeks. Now it sits on my desk unused because we cannot find a bulb. Save your money.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who loves Hello Kitty, the first one did not work the spring in the bottom was out of place. [...], however its still not working that great. My daughter wants to take it back and get the glitter one.
