I bought this for my 3 kids, ages 2 1/2, 10, and 12. The 3 of them have watched movies together while my husband is watching football;) Haven't experienced any troubles, but we haven't taken it in the car as the other reviewer did.

I bought this dvd player in my local Toys R Us store because it was such a great price. [$] and then I used a 20 % off coupon, so with tax it only cost me [$]. It came with the car headrest adapter, two sets of headphones, and other accessories. We got it home and tested it out in the house. Picture and sound were great. We got it in the car and halfway on our 2 hour drive the screen froze up. We got it going again and it just continued to freeze or just go black. We were going to bring it back, but didn't get a chance to before a long road trip that we had planned, so we decided to give it another chance. Big mistake! This thing is absolute junk. It will not play for more than an hour before it stops and then you can't get it going again for a long time. I followed all of the troubleshooting in the manual and it didn't even mention some of the things this was doing. So needless to say I'm bringing it back today and buying the more expensive Sony one, which I wish I would have done in the first place!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
