This product was bought for my daughter to use in her bedroom while her younger siblings are napping. It worked ok for about 3 months (just past the 90 day warranty for labor, and shipping alone would cost 20 dollars there and back) One day it just stopped playing dvds, it would say bad disc or no disc or just spend forever "loading". This player was very well taken care of, it never even left my daughters bedroom, it should have lasted longer than 3 months. I can't imagine what taking it places would have done to it, I mean it says its portable it should withstand some wear and tear. Anyway, I do not recommend this product, I will not buy this brand again, and like others have said it would not be ideal for long trips, I would buy something specifically made for cars for that because this thing would skip non-stop in a car.

Our DVD quit working just a few months after it was purchased. I contacted customer service because it was still under warranty. It has now been 4 months and we have NOT received the needed replacement part. I have talked with supervisors and managers and every time I am told they will send us the needed part, but they do not. They did send a power cord, but we did not need another power cord.

TRU sent us a dvd player that doesn't plug into a standard outlet. We think this plug must fit a european outlet. Very frustrated that I have to return this. We've had Coby dvd players in the past and they work great.

Made the mistake of buying this product two years in a row and both broke after just a few uses. It just cuts out half way through a movie even after being fully charged. The company is not very helpful either. They did not do anything for me. Do not buy a Coby DVD player!

I bought this product for my daughter for in the car. When I opened it and realized it had no car charger I was pretty upset. However the charger I had from my old portable dvd player worked for it thankfully. However we used it a few times (5 at the most) and the player just quit reading discs. It now will only say "bad disc" when I put a dvd in it. I called to return to the store and they will not replace it or return my item. I am furious! I will NEVER shop at Toys R Us again. I have had too many upsets from them. The first time I shopped here they charged me to have an item shipped to their store ($20) which I had to fight with them to return to me since I just wanted the same kids table just in a different color. They didn't have it in the store they said, which I later discovered that was false. The lady up front was just too lazy to go back and check! So it cost me an extra $20 to have them ship it!! SORRY I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!

Got this for half price on black Friday and just opened it tonight. Horrible! Tge picture is very dark, there is no car charger and it skips!!! Definitely returning ASAP.

I love this product! I got it for my 3 year old for Christmas and she love's it and so do I!!!! I got it for my daughter because sometimes we go for LONG car rides. And when we are home and she is in her play room and wants to watch a DVD it is ALOT easier just to put a DVD on her portable DVD player then to play around with the TV and hook up a DVD player!!!

this was bought as a christmas present for my daughter. it was to keep her occupied while doing her hair for pageants, needless to say wehavent made it to a pageant with it yet. i bought it first and when u put a dvdin the player it would say bad disc or no dvd. so i took it back got another and brought it home and now it says no dvd, but i just bought a brand new dvd for it and it says no dvd. dont waste your money on this brand.

I bought this for kids to use during the ride to see their grandmother (who is about 2 1/2 hours away) when our old other make/model of 5 years finally died on us.

Since it doesn't get used regularly and my youngest is only 3 1/2, I didn't want to spend too much money on it.

This make & model does NOT include a car charger like my previous one; which is pretty essential if you are traveling longer than 2 1/2 hours, which is about the life of the battery.

You need to remember to charge it the night before you need it and then charge it again when you get there, so you can use on the way home again.
