This microphone has endured over a year of a three four and five year old playing with it almost every day. We got the Barbie kareoke machine, which is also really great quality and lots of fun for them, and the michrophone fits and works great with it. The mic that came with the machine was poor quality and stop working right away. This is a great product as long as you are aware that you need an amp or something to plug it into.

We bought this for our daughters and I wish we hadn't. NO WHERE on the package or in the discription does it say that it is to be used with an amp or karaoke machine. Now if it had then I wouldn't be upset, but it did not and I thought it was to be used in conjunction with a electronic keyboard. I am not happy and my girls cannot even use it and we are very dissapointed. Don't waste your money.

Do not buy it. The jack on the end only works with an amplifier and unless you are in a band, you probably don't have one sitting around your house. What a joke Toys R Us.

This is a microphone designed to be used amplifier. Anyone who rated it low did so because they didnt understand that it needed to be used with an amp. My daughter got this as a gift for her second birthday. It works great for her. Basic on of switch on mic. Cute princess design. Holds up to a two year old tossing it around and pulling on the cord.

This toy has no instructions. Nowhere is it listed on or in the box that an amplifier is needed to operate this. I found that info online. Plenty of other options on the market that do not require additional equipment.

There are no instructions. I figured i had accidentally thrown them away but I cant find anything online either. I consider myself somewhat technically savvy and have no clue how to use this thing after playing around with it for a while now.....
