I see why this is on clearance!

Comments about Small World Toys 1001697 Small World Toys African-American Family Wooden Hand-Painted Dolls:

I am very disappointed that toys r us would sell such a sloppy mockery of the african american family. These dolls are so plain and VERY unappealing to a young child OF ANY COLOR. I understand the concept and I am thankful for the effort to put something out there for our young african american children, HOWEVER, this would surely turn a child of color away from wanting a doll of color. And why is there a grandma included in this family? I never saw a caucasian family doll set with a grandma! If that isn't stereotyping I don't know what is. SN: Just b/c First Lady Michelle mother lives with them, does not mean that is the norm. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
