The Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System is the eco-friendly pool water sanitizer. The Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System eliminates the need for dangerous, harsh packaged chlorine while dramatically improving pool comfort. The Copper Ionization feature reduces chlorine levels by 70% when compared to standard saltwater systems. Automatic self-cleaning cycle lengthens cell life and reduces the need for manual cleaning. Set operating time once and the system will automatically run on a 24-hour cycle. Water flow sensor and diagnostic read out with auto shut-off, alerts operator when a problem occurs and protects system from damage. Keypad locks to prevent programming from being accidentally changed.

            It only worked for 3 days. I followed the directions and watched the video. It displayed a strange code that wasn't listed, then just went out.

                  You simpily must get this INTEX salt/chlorine generator system. I had read some of the negative reviews on these from other various sites from folks having extreme difficulity with these chlorine generators, and I was a bit dubious, and after much thought I did get one this year. I just have one thing to say..., I just don't see how that is possible for them to have all those problems. This system is almost foolproof. I have yet to have the 1st problem with this system once I set the timers "correctly" and added the correct amount of salt (if you read the directions it's idiotproof) Don't just "think" you know how to do it..., READ AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY!!!. Don't add just a little more or a little less. The generator will work like its designed if it is setup properly. The only error signals I ever get is the "LOW WATER FLOW" one which tells me it's time to change the filter. Not only does it produce chlorine, it tells me when its filter changing time.

                  IMPORTANT NOTE: This review is for the 2010 model, with the copper ionization.

                  Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
