My 4 yr old son got this for christmas with his smart cycle. He played the cartridge that came with the smart cycle with little difficulty and couldn't wait to play the Toy Story one, since he loves anything Toy Story, but he just couldn't play most of the games without asking me questions and getting frustrated. I agree with the other review that I thought it would help him learn but instead it assumes he already knows his numbers and letters and simple math. He only likes the part where you can ride on Bullseye to collect toys but the game often won't let him go there. And he was very disappointed that there wasn't more Buzz Lightyear. Very unhappy with this game, this is definately designed more for a 6 year old.

My 4 1/2 year old daughter loves this game. She had been using the 3-5 year old games and this was the first 4-6 year old game. Yes, it does expect you to know letters and numbers, hence the reason for it being 4-6 and not the beginner games. It teaches her addition and subtraction. I have noticed that it is a bit harder to snap into the smart cycle bike than the other cartridges but you just have to push the two corners really hard to get it to pop on. She absolutely loves it and I am happy with her learning some addition and subtraction!

I bought this game for my 4 year old thinking it would teach him but to tell you the truth it taught him nothing. The game is great for kids who already know numbers and letters but it kind of expects them to know rather than teaching them. He had to ask me every little thing and then instead of having fun he just got frustrated. The game that the smart cycle came with actually taught him the letters and numbers. For example: hit the letters LMN and then as he hit them it would show them and say it. I'm hoping if I get him a 3-5 age group it will teach him more.

This game is great. My 5yr old daughter plays with it for hours! She loves the games, and the math is really great. The graphics are lacking, to say the least, but for a 5yr old, she could care less. The only downfall of this game is the bike needs new batteries every 3 months or so, otherwise it won't work.

My son got the Smart Cycle Extreme for Christmas and loves it, when Toy Story cartridge came out he just had to have it so I got it, got it home put it in and nothing! took it back and got another one thinking it maybe defective, brought back the new one: same thing NOTHING!! I then but in his existing cartridges: Bob the Builder and the School bus, they work fine! So its not the bike.
