The grinder usually just spins and spins without grinding anything. You'd have to mash 2-3 bugs at a time to get to to work and you'd still leave half a bug in the chamber.

The splat chamber looks cool, but the needles are too far apart. You end up just kind of smashing it a bit, moving the bug to different spot, smash some more, repeat. It doesn't just decimate the bug in one fell swoop. Overall, not really worth it.

this toy is painful....it takes a really long time to warm up and the gut bug always get air bubbles in it and you rip it every time you try to take out the insert therefor unable to fill with guts.

Don't waste your money. The machine leaks, the goop doesn't go into the mold it leaks over. We tried to make 4 bugs and only 1 turned out. What a major disappointment for my daughter. I had one of these when I was a kid and it worked great. But it had metal molds not plastic. If I could return this I would.
