The Babi Italia Pinehurst Classic Guard is used to convert the Pinehurst Classic Crib to a toddler bed.

I purchased this "guard rail" which didn't fit our lifestyle crib (purchased in 2007). I later realized that there is a "toddler bed rail" which fits my crib. They look exactly the same, but the only difference is how it is attached to the crib. The "guard rail" has screw holes on the sides to be inserted in between the outside posts. The "bed rail" has screw holes on the back of the rail so it can be attached to the front of the side posts. Make sure you are purchasing the right one. The other item number is #417863.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The Pinehurst collection is beautiful. We bought the set 3 years ago and needed the toddler rail for our 3 yr old. Be careful, there are two toddler rails listed, this one does not fit the convertable crib properly. The holes are drilled in the wrong direction, side to side instead of front to back. This rail may be for a newer model.[...]
