The Babi Italia Eastside Classic Guard is used to convert the Eastside Classic Crib to a toddler bed.

*Converts SKU 160515 into a Toddler Bed.

I bought the Babi Italia lifestyle eastside crib in Cinnamon--thinking I could get the toddler rail later and even the dresser. This product has been out of stock for atleast 6 months--and I am pretty sure they are phasing out this all together or something. I spent the money on this crib thinking I would have it for years and years and would grow into the bed my son would use into his teens. WHAT A JOKE. You can only get this product (babi italia) at Babies r us. My advice is that if you buy the lifestyle crib, buy the toddler rail and the bed rails at the same time--MAKING SURE they are available when you need them. Because when your baby starts crawling out of crib, you need those rails NOW, not in 6 months. Or worse yet, who knows....I ended up having to buy a seperate toddler bed and will have to think of full size option in the future. Luckily, my second son will be using the crib. HOWEVER, this will not be a lifetime option unfortunately because of the fact that i can't obtain the pieces needed :-(. Sad that I spent this much money.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I really loved the crib and thought the toddler rail was a great way to transition her to a bed before I moved her to a full size bed. The quality of the piece isn't that great but it is very useful and easy to install. My daughter loves getting into and out of the bed by herself. We have been using the piece for 6 months now and I think it was an inexpensive way to make the most of your total purchase.
