Okay, the covers are great, although boring (no cute pattern or colors). I use them for overnight and have never had a leak. If you want to CD with low start up cost, I suggest these covers. However, the prefolds are way too bulky on an infant!!! I couldn't even zip my daughters larger pajamas it was so bulky, so I put them away for now, and may pull them back out for when she's a toddler for nighttime use (they do wash up nice and comfy)... For now I use a OsoCozy Unbleached Prefold (which are bulky, but no where near the econobum prefolds) and a hemp doubler and haven't had a leak yet. So, my suggestion is to buy the covers seperately and buy different prefolds or flats. If you do buy this pack, buy other prefolds or flats for infant use or you will never get their clothes on, lol...

I got these for my 2 year-old son and for my 3rd child who's due in Feb. I was surprised to see that the covers fit my 25 lb 2 year-old. By 25 lbs you can no longer use a snappi with the pre folds but if you lay the diaper in the cover it works pretty well. I don't trifold the diaper like the directions say to because it doesn't hold in poo on such a big child. I just fold it in half so there's a little more length to it. It works a lot better. For the price this is a good diaper. We will see how it does on a smaller baby.

I bought these when my son was born and almost 2 years later they are as good as new! As long as I get the diaper tucked in they do not leak even though he is constantly on the run. I worried the cheap-looking covers would wear out with frequent washings but that has not been the case!!!!

These do need to be changed more often. A disposable is made to sponge up liquid and keep the skin dry, so your baby can literally sit in pee all day and not notice! Cloth diapers, no matter how thick, will still feel wet! So you can't be lazy about getting to the changing table. For that reason, I do use a disposable at night but I feel good I'm able to use cloth during the day and limit my landfill dumping!

With my first son, I used an All-in-one cloth diaper - they were very thick, stiff and fell apart after 6 months. I am now pregnant with #3 and pretty sure my econobum set will be with my the next couple of years!!!

I purchased several kinds of cloth diapers when my son was born, from the very inexpensive to the extravagant. The Econobum Cloth Diapers are significantly softer and more absorbent than any of the other brands I've tried.

The fact that it grows with your baby, is affordable, and easy to use makes it a great way to start cloth diapering. As some other commenters noted, it can be bulky at first, but there are different ways to fold the prefold insert so that it fits your baby best. First time I put my son in one, he had a major bowel movement..NO LEAKS! These can also be easily used with "snappies" to hold the prefold on like a fitted diaper, then put cover on over it.
It is of a slightly lesser quality material that other covers, but it is also cheaper... I know someone who used them, and only them, on her 2 kids and they lasted through and are going to be used on her new one coming. So they do last.

I first used these when my son was about 10lbs. The prefolds are bulky but at 2 weeks old my son didn't mind and he seemed comfortable. I have now been using them instead of my pocket diapers because I RARELY have any leaks at all. If I wait too long to change it might leak a tiny bit and if there is a blow out diaper it leaks a bit, but so does EVERY other diaper I've tried. They are easy to clean and very affordable. The prefolds that come with it can work great but when they are tiny it's best to buy some "infant" prefolds so they aren't so crazy bulky and fit the little ones better. Another great thing...my husband has no problem with these diapers. It's easy to fold them and lay them in the cover. He was worried it would be complicated but has no complaints now.

I've only been using these a few days but I love that they're so affordable and easy to use. We haven't had any real problems with them so far. I can see them being big and bulky on our little one once she arrives, but they've been great for our 15 month old. It's been a great way to start cloth diapering since everything I had looked into prior was so expensive.

First, the inserts are too bulky....bulkier than the cloth diapers grandma used! The cover is also terribly cheap. I was so afraid that just snapping and unsnapping was going to rip the fabric. I also tried to gently rub a spot off the diaper and it rubbed off some of the material!

Spend a few bucks more and get a better cloth diaper.

I am a first time mom with only 2 months of cloth diapering experience. I did not think think the one size fits all part through. I have a 2mo old 12 lb kid. i went from sized diaperservice diapers to econobums and was flummoxed by how huge they are compared to what i was using. with a boy, i fold the extra in front, but it is bulky. be prepared, or wait 'till your little one is a little less little.
the fit of the covers is difficult too with a smaller baby.
that said, they are absorbent and economical. It is appealing that they will theoretically last us though potty training.
