The crib was purchased for my son by his grandparents back in November 2012. At the same time my husband and I purchased the furniture and the conversion kit. We did not purchase the toddler rail at that time. I was upset to hear that they no longer had the toddler rail in stock or the conversion kit. However that is NOT true! I went to the Toys R Us/Babies R Us in King of Prussia, PA on 3/11/13 and WAS able to order the toddler rail ! I was informed they also had the conversion kits. I was told that Toys R US only receives a certain amount from the manufacture at a time. They do become out of stock and do not know when they will receive new shipment from the manufacture, however the manufacture should continue to supply Toys R Us up to five years after they discontinue the cribs so consumers can purchase additional parts like the toddler rail and conversion kit!! I am so excited that we were able to purchase the toddler rail! We receive compliments all the time about our sons crib and furniture. It really is a beautiful set !! Hope this helps everyone that is looking for the rail or conversion kit !

Purchased the crib, dresser, toddler guard rails, conversion kit and side table (when we convert to full size bed) in June 2011.

This furniture is heavy, sturdy and beautiful and worth every penny. My daughter has been in this crib for over a year and we are ready to convert it to the toddler bed.

The bed was easy to assemble.

The dresser has withstood all kinds of dings and knicks without leaving any marks or scratches.

We are so impressed with this furniture that we just purchased the same crib, dresser and conversion kit for our new baby.

This will be beautiful furniture that will grown with both of our children!

We bought this crib for baby #1 in early 2011. He's still using it as a crib (he's just over 2yo now). I LOVE this crib; it was easy to assemble and is still beautiful after nearly 2 years of use. Only a few minor teeth marks on the side panels, which will be discarded once he transitions to a full bed.
That being said, I tried this week to order another of these cribs for my second son, only to find out that it has now been discontinued. I had assumed that since the item was still for sale on the BRU website, I could still get it. NO. No conversion kits, no cribs, no nothing. So, not only can I not get another of these for my second son, I am also SOL as far as the conversion kit for my toddler. IMHO the conversion kits should remain available after a crib is discontinued, since most buyers will be coming back later for those. It appears from another recent review that the crib was still for sale in my area (MD) last month. Grrr.

Love the crib. It looks classy. Its heavy duty. I like that the slats are thicker and stronger. My baby loves his bed and I like it in our house. I love that the mattress lowers easily. One thing that hasn't been a huge problem but still...because the side rails are curved it wasn't always easy to get any type of music box on with out a bit of work. However, its totally possble. :)Maybe I have a very tall kid, but I wish the matress lowered maybe another 3 inches.

We were told it would take 12-14 weeks for conversion rail kit to arrive. For the price that one pays for the crib, the conversion rail kit should be included! Also the kit should be availabe in the store.

We bought this crib in Aug 2011. It's a very pretty crib, but for the price the kits should be included. Now that my son is older, I realized that there was not a kit included. In Hawaii things are more expensive and to have pay over $500.00 for this bed is crazy when it didn't come with a conversion kit. I am a new mom and what I read in the store, it said it had everything you need to convert it to a 4-in-1. But now that I want to convert it, I have to pay an extra 175.00 for the reals. I could have bought a cheaper crib and now I have to buy another bed for my toddler. One of my reason to buy this was that it was a 4-in-1. I didn't want to spend more money on different beds.
We bought the matching dressers and we had to move from HI to TN. In the move, the dressers helped together pretty good but jam here and there.
I think the kits should be included since its so pricey already.

We love this crib!! It was so easy to put together;It took about an hour. It feels safe and sturdy for our baby boy.

LOVE the quality of our crib. Very strong & solid as compared to other cribs we saw in the store. My husband & I were initially attracted to this crib because of the beautiful expresso color, but was sold on the fact that it was convertible. My son is now 9 months old & we didn't think it would be a rush to buy the toddler rails & certainly not the conversion kit, until I started reading comments about how difficult it was to find, or worse still, unavailable!

I read somewhere that it might be discontinued, so I asked my husband to check out the store where he was in Alberquerque, New Mexico & spoke with an extremly helpful staff member. YES, this WHOLE PRODUCT LINE WILL BE DISCONTINUED SOON, however, the toddler rails & the conversion kit is still available if anybody is interested in ordering it now!

We placed an order for both, put a 20% deposit, & our order will be available for pick up at the store in San Antonio, TX (the closest store to us) in about 8-12 weeks. No big deal since our son will not use it for at least 2 years, but at least it is ordered! I think my husband said the rails were about $95.

It is just a shame that they will no longer carry this beautiful, solid, crib.

We bought this crib for my daughter just before she was born and have loved it! Its easy to adjust for mattress heights for when they get bigger and it has a very sleek design to it. There are conversion kits available you just have to ask the associate at your local Babies R Us store :) We recently received our kits and look forward to converting our daughter here very soon! Worth every penny spent for something that is going to last and grow up with our daughter.
