The Babi Italia Hamilton Double Dresser in Chocolate mixes history with modern day living, The Hamilton Collection features a sleigh crib inspired by the American Empire period. The sleigh style bed came into vogue 200 years ago and today still retains a special place in the heart of American decorators. The coordinating case pieces add a contemporary twist and lend themselves to a more transitional approach to decorating. The generous apron and exquisite drawer molding along with the antiqued half moon hardware ensure years of style and enjoyment in any room.

When we purchased this piece it wasn't our first choice, but the great price made us choose it and now we are so happy we did. When we drove it home we noticed a "toxic" smell that filled the vehicle. When we brought it inside we noticed the smell traveled from the baby's room into the other parts of the house. The company stated that we could return it or try to clean it with a scented furniture polish and febreeze the inside of the drawers. After allowing it a few weeks to air out and several cleanings, the smell has diminished. We will definitely be cleaning the crib several times before we put any bedding in it also.

My wife and I purchased this dresser as a set along with the crib and tall 6 drawer dresser. They all look great in our nursery. This is a nice piece, but I am dissappointed with the drawer slides. They are cheap and inexpensive, and I am sure they will need to be repaired or replaced in the future. Also, we found an imperfection on the surface of the dresser after opening the box. It does double well as a changing table, and fits under the window nicely.

Absolutely beautiful dresser, but the drawers tend to stick (a feature I'm not sure because it doesn't happen every time they're opened). Drawers are shallow. Nice option instead of purchasing additional changing table, but the dresser is shorter than a changing table should be. Beautiful piece, but a bit more attention to details of the drawers would make it a great product.

Make sure you bring a large vehicle to pick up the dresser because it is already pre-assembled and in a very large box. It was very well packaged. There was no damage at all. It is definitely large enough to have a changing pad on top since this collection does not offer a changing table. I do not know how it will hold up over time because I am not due for another few months, but it is very sturdy. My only complaint is that the drawers don't slide as smoothly as I would have liked. Otherwise, it is a beautiful piece of furniture that I hope can last us many years!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This dresser so far is everything I wanted: sturdy, durable, with a beautiful finish. I know this will last a long time. I haven't noticed any of the problems people have described with the drawers: ours is assembled correctly, the drawers slide in and out with no problems and the slides seem ok.
4 out of 5 stars due to slightly less storage space than needed, and finish does seem to mar easily.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Beautiful dresser! Roomy and fully assembled. As with the tall bureau that matched this set, check all the drawers before leaving the store.I left my husband up to the task and we got it home and the second drawer sticks alot and it is difficult to close. However this is workable and I would buy this whole set again.

It came fully assembled. It was packaged so securely, it took a good 10 minutes to get the dresser out of the box! The dresser is beautiful. The hardware is stunning. It looks great in our room. Only con is that since the dresser was fully assembled, it didn't fit in the back of our SUV. We had to borrow a friend's pickup. [...]

This dresser is very well built and very nice looking. It has so much room for things with all the large drawers. I never thought I would fill all those drawers but I was wrong and am glad I got this dresser. It is only 32inchs high but works great for my husband(5'11) and I (5'5). Some people have said theirs had a toxic smell but out did not have any bad odors at all.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
