      Our grandson recently started playing chess and this set is perfect for a 15 year old - a nice set that won't break the bank and the pieces can be stored inside the board box. There was even money left in the budget for a gift card :-D

        I was a little disappointed in the quality of the gameboard. I had hoped it would have been a better quality. If it truly is wood, it is very thin and lightweight. Obiviously, it was better than a cardboard playing board, but I expected a bit more for the money I paid.
        The velour pouches/bags shown in the ad were not included. Instead, there were two, clear, ziplock bags containing the game pieces.
