I bought this guitar for my niece for x-mas but decided to open the box first to check it out, I'm so glad I did. The strings are very loose and if you can imagine what a loose stringed guitar sounds like then you will understand. I tried to tighten the strings but was not successful. I will be returning this guitar today.

I bought this even after reading the bad comments. Going by the "Most Helpful", I assumed people were confusing this item with the smaller guitar. This guitar is in fact plastic. Right out of the box, one of the strings was loose. Turns out, it wasn't in the key properly. My husband, a musician, was not able to get this thing in tune. I'm taking it back tomorrow.

If you are looking for a TOY starter guitar for a little girl, to peak her musical interest, copy Daddy, play rock star....this guitar is great and she will love it! My 6 yr old does:) I also bought the $8 replacement plan (kids will break things).

If you are looking for a "real" guitar, spend the extra money to get a high quality wooden guitar. I plan to upgrade LATER if she is interested:)

This guitar is junk. It is made of cheap plastic and one of the strings broke within the first 15 minutes of opening the gift. So disappointed.

This was purchased as a gift and is still in the box. It was inspected carefully and it is 100% perfect and will make a little girl VERY happy on Xmas morning!

My daughter got this for her birthday yesterday (Thanksgiving) and one of the strings broke an hour later. She didn't even play it for the entire hour. Maybe a total of 10 mins. Taking it back to the store after the Black Friday madness dies down. I wish I would have listened to the reviews before I purchased it.

Not impressed with First Act guitars in general. Not that I expect a toy guitar to perform as well as a real instrument, but it would be nice if it held a tune at all. I tried, to no avail, to tune the guitar (or a close approximation) and one of the strings immediately broke. The others were out of tune almost as quickly. This went back to the store. Not worth the money at all. Buy a cheap toy guitar, or invest a little more money for a real guitar through your local music store. By the way, our guitar was wooden.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday. After searching all the local stores for it, I ended up having to drive 50 miles round-trip to get it. I didn't mind doing so, because I knew she would be thrilled. I was also thrilled to find a wooden guitar with the Princesses on it. Nothing on the outside of the box indicates what the guitar is made of. It was only when she opened it up and we saw it that my heart sank and I was bitterly disappointed. There is not a scrap of wood on this entire guitar. It's cute enough and she loves it because she doesn't know any different, [...] A plastic guitar cannot produce the same sound as a wooden guitar. Will she know the difference? No. But my husband and I do, since we are both in music. [...] My son also has a First Act guitar that is wonderful, and wooden, I might add. I expected the same from this one. Unfortunately, someone is lying to us and no one is taking responsibility for it. BUYER BEWARE!! This is a PLASTIC guitar! It is most definitely the 30 inch and it is most definitely plastic. The CSR said that this is the only one in the system. Maybe it used to be wooden, but it's not now.
