Why is this piano suggested for a 6yr old and up?? We just purchased this piano for my 15 month old. Thought it would be a perfect size for her. I can't imagine seeing a 6-8 yr old sitting at it to play, I'm sure they would feel ridiculous. It also is too fragile for the older age group to play with but perfect for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2. Two days after my daughter received it my friends son (3) came over and banged on it a tad roughly. After he left I noticed 2 of the black keys were broken into and another came completely off. It's a great sound and a great size for a 15 month old and up so that's why we are returning the one and trying it again!!

Glad I took this item out of the box before Christmas. The wood on the back was split and the top was loose. I took it back to the store to exchange it and they only had one of these in the store and a key was missing. So needless to say I got a refund and purchased something else.

My Daughter just turned one and she loves her little piano! She plays with it every day. Her Great-grandmother has an antique one and she adores it, so her Grandmother purchased it for her Birthday! It is well built, in tune, and pretty pink! Would definetly recommend for a younger child.

My daughter is 4 years old, and we just gave this piano to her for her birthday. It IS definitely a "toy" and not recommended for the ages suggested. We are going to return it and try to get her something that is more of a piano. The sound on this one was horrendous--it sounded absolutely nothing like a piano! If you are looking for a toy for your 1-2 year old, then this is perfect. If you are looking for something more "piano" like for your little Beethoven, then look somewhere else!

I bought this as a last minute decision for my 15 month old daughter. She loves music-so I knew she would like this. She was overjoyed when I gave it to her! It has been so precious watching her play it and dance at the same time. After getting it I read other reviews on line-most of which didn't like the price or the sound. I agree it really pricy-but it's made of actual wood-not pressboard-so not only is it heavy but it will be durable enough for a toddler.SO I could say the price is fitting for the quality. The color and design are beautiful! The sound was also a complaint from others-to warn you -it is not meant to mimic a real piano sound-THIS IS A TOY! If you ever palyed with the old style brown little toy pianos when you were a kid then you know what it sounds like. Kind of a dull chime sound-though there is some differance in sound between each key. All in all it is a fun toy that is very sturdy and attractive to look at. I would highly recommend it for any little girl!
