After buying a boulevard CS for my daughter 3+ years ago I was impressed with the quality of Britax seats. I was recently looking for a new seat for my oldest because her little sister is ready for the boulevard now. I was encouraged to try another less expensive brand 1st and was instantly dissatisfied. If you are some one who only occasional uses a car seat then the Britax Frontier may be overkill , but if you are someone who totes the littles with you everywhere you go then this is the perfect seat for the job! I will admit that I had issues getting the seat to install correctly with the LATCH system. As a last ditch effort, before I tried installing the seat with the lap belt I watched a YouTube video and realized I was pulling on the strap incorrectly. You have to feed the strap back through to the front of the seat. Instantly got tight when pulling on it from the correct angle!

We use this carseat with our special needs son. He is 6 years old and has muscular dystrophy. He needs the full harness restraint because he has torso muscles. This is the only seat we could find that offers the shoulder harness for a kid this big. We love the seat so far!

I love Britax products! I purchased the Britax Roundabout a couple of years ago. Then I needed a bigger car seat for my 3 1/2 year old. I first purchased the Graco Nautilus. Like all the other reviews, every time I put my boy in the car seat, I got so frustrated with the crotch buckle. So I decided to get the Britax Frontier instead. Yes, it is quite a bit more money. But I am so happy with both the Britax I have bought.

This carseat works great for our 4 year old. We previously had the Britax Roundabout and this was the perfect next step. Our little guy has more leg room and loves the comfortable head rest. I am very pleased with the performance of our past Britax carseats and will continue to purchase Britax for future needs.

I was pregnant with my second daugther and my husband and I wanted to move our then three year old out of her Britax Marathon carseat and into a 'bigger girl' seat (but still with the 5 point harness). I read a lot of reviews and decided to purchse the Frontier and am SO glad I did! We love the carseat and so does our daughter (she is now 4 years old and 35 pounds). I drive a Toyota 4Runner and knew I wanted to keep my toddler in the middle seat in the back and put our baby in her infant Chicco seat behind the driver. Both carseats fit nicely side by side and we still have one extra seat in the back. I highly recommend the carseat to anyone looking for a booster seat with the 5 point harness. My daughter especially loves the cupholders. My husband installed the carseat so I don't know anything about the installation process.

We moved our 3 year old from her Britax Marathon to the Britax Frontier. I drive a Toyota 4Runner and wanted to keep my 3 year old in the middle seat in the back so that I could then put my new baby in her Chicco infant seat next to her (backseat, driver side). Both carseats fit nicely side by side and we still have room for one more passenger in the backseat. My daugther (who recently turned 4, and is 35 pounds) loves her new carseat. She especially likes the cupholders. I highly recommend this carseat to anybody looking for a 'big kid' carseat that still has the 5 point harness.

I WOULD buy this again in a heartbeat....but gosh that thing is such a pain in the butt to install. I wish Britax made the alligator clips on both sides adjust, not just one side. That's the only complaint I have, but I love it. Just don't ask me to take it out! haha

You won't be disappointed and neither will your little one. Comfortable and safe. If gives you the features of a 5 point harness regular car seat, while giving them the comfort of a booster seat. Britax is always a pricey car seat, but you get what you pay for. And in this case, it's a car seat/booster in one. We've been buying Britax for 13 years of raising our children. After numorouse different car seat purchases, we were only dissappoint one, with the marathon and an issue that that they had when they first came out (the tightening strp was very diggicult). They finally addressed it in future releases of that car seat. (That was frustrating and we got stuck with the first release a had to live with it for years with two kids). But no issues with this one! This will save you money and give you the Britax quality. You will only have to buy one car seat, instead of two, when they are ready to transition to a booster. Personally, I like having them in a booster type car seat without giving us the 5 point harness. Winner!

We bought the graco high back for our 4yr old but he would fall forward when asleep and complained that his legs would fall asleep. With the Frontier seat it eliminated all of these problems. He fits really well in the chair and seems very safe in it. We have also owned 2 of the Marathon which are great seats.

My son has been in a Recaro convertible car seat that we have no complaints on (my reviews are always solely based on safety/security and comfort, I don't care about fabric options, floppy belts, etc). However, at 3.5 years old, we were ready for a slimmer design that would not require us lifting him into/out of the seat and would allow a little more space in the back seat of our sedan for others. We purchased a more affordable harnessed booster seat because we simply don't have big bucks to spend without at least trying the more affordable seat. It just did not live up to the reputation of Britax for safe, secure, and easy install, and was not comfortable for my little boy, particularly if he fell asleep (inadequate head support). It went back and we found a way to penny-pinch for a few weeks until we could purchase this seat. If you can find a way to afford this - DO IT. Simply no comparison in terms of ease of install, secure install, and comfort for my little man. If you are trying to decide between a harnessed booster and a belt positioning booster, do your child a favor and do some research. Harness your child as long as possible! And do it in a seat that is easy to install correctly and provides the safest travel for your child - this one! I have the peace of mind that my child is safe, harnessed, and comfortable in a seat that he will ride in for years! Priceless.
