I washed and dried this the way the packaging suggested and had absolutely no problems with it. Baby isn't born yet so haven't had the chance to test its durability.

Back melted in the dryer in 4 different places. Called customer service and spoke with someone who spoke perfect broken english and accomplished nothing. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! Buy a different brand.

I felt that this was a very good product until I washed it before use. Whatever you do, do NOT dry it on high b/c the plastic covering underneath will pucker and shrink. So now my cover is not usable. Tumble dry low as indicated. I was really looking forward to using this pad over the Carter's pad I also purchased because it is more quilted.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We laundered this mattress cover exactly as indicated, and it seems to have shrunk a little bit. It still fits on the mattress, and it's sufficiently snug (it's not supposed to be loose), but it doesn't seem to fit quite properly. We'll still use it, but maybe I should have looked at reviews before I made a decision.
