Comments about Edu Science Computerized Telescope (LCM60):

Bought this as a Christmas present and was very excited about it. Here's our experience with it:

Pros: Easy assembly with good instructions. It took 2 times to allign the scope but that's fine. Once alligned the motor worked wonderfully and moved to center the selected object in the scope.

Cons: We can't see anything when we look through the scope and yes we removed the cap. I've gone through the manual trying to figure out how to fix the problem with no luck. I've also gone through the set-up instructions 3 times and found nothing missed. I'm sure it works wonderfully but we seem to have gotten a bad one.

Comments about Edu Science Computerized Telescope (LCM60):

I purchased this for my son who just started fifth grade and is learning astronomy. He got so interested in the planets, that I wanted to support his learning and decided to buy him his first telescope. I saw this one at TRU and found the price right and thought it was a fun looking scope. We were able to set it up quickly and were out gazing at the craters of the moon within 15 minutes of taking this out of the box. Since we bought the scope, my son has viewed Saturn and some double stars and has learned that you can even view some objects during the day! Who knew!

Comments about Edu Science Computerized Telescope (LCM60):

I was so pleased that this telescope was so easy to use. Since this telescope is computerized, I expected it to be complicated. But it wasn't. I was able to easily set it up as it had easy to follow set up instructions. I wanted to get a telescope for my young son so that he can see not just the moon but planets as well. I am not familiar with astronomy but I know that me and my family can get into it. So I got this telescope and I thought that it was a good price for a telescope and when I saw that it was computerized, I decided to buy it. I am also not a techie but I found this easy to use. Within the first 15 minutes after set up, my son and I was looking at the beautiful rings of Saturn. I have never seen Saturn before except in pictures but I was able to find it with this telescope as the telescope automatically pointed to the planet. It was breathtaking. Anyway, I only needed to follow the instructions on the hand control as the instructions just scroll on the hand unit screen. It came with a couple of eyepieces that it gave me the ability to view at high and low power. It is also easy to transport as it was light weight. I highly recommend this!
