Orbeez are wet and wacky, soft and squishy, fun and funky, bouncy and beautiful. They start off hard and tiny. Add water and watch them grow to more than 100 times their volume. Fill this 3-D frame with Orbeez and make them flow from one chamber to the next. Create exciting color displays and show off your creation. With a 16-page Activity Booklet and a Play 'n Display Tray you'll never run out of games and design ideas.

Orbeez® are superabsorbent polymers. A polymer is a large molecule consisting of many smaller molecules, which are joined together. They are classified as superabsorbent because they can absorb up to 150 times their own water. The water is absorbed into the spaces between the molecules. These polymers were invented for agriculture use to irrigate plants during times of drought. Today they are used, among other things, in food packages to absorb liquid, and in diapers to prevent leaks.

    I'm really glad we purchased this product to go with the Orbeez balls, otherwise, you quickly run out of things to do with them. This is a cool and surprisingly fun way to play with the balls. You can drop the balls into the individual compartments. There are sliding doors between the top and bottom compartments so that you can close the door when you fill the bottom compartments up and then fill the top compartment with a different color if you wish. The only thing I don't like is that there is no top! So if you happen to fill up the top compartments and then knock the thing over (which happens repeatedly with kids), hundreds of those darn slippery balls go all over the floor. And they are not easy to pick up! I now put clear packing tape over the top and peel it off when the kids want to get to the Orbeez or add more.

    Otherwise, fun accessory for the Orbeez balls. I really thought this was going to be silly and boring but purchased the Orbeez because of the rave reviews. All of the kids really got into playing with them and some of the parents did too!

    My 5 year old got this from Santa and really enjoyed playing with it Christmas afternoon. Clean-up is difficult, and I am worried that one or two of the orbeez will be missed and my 1.5 year old will find it on the floor and put it in his mouth. The instructions say they are not to be ingested, yet, to a very young child, they look like candy. Also, the instructions say the orbeez get moldy and will probably need to be replaced in 8 weeks. Not a good toy for repeated use.

                  My niece and nephew both got these things and they ended up being fun for both the children and adults! It was fun watching them grow in the water and the creative options were limitless. I even used them to water my plants while I was out of town for a couple of days. Unfortunately, the adults thought throwing them at each other was fun too, but I don't recommend that!

                          Bought this item for my niece's birthday and she LOVES it. As soon as dinner was done she started grabbing a bunch of different sized bowls in the kitchen to grow the different colors. She was totally WOW'd by the clear ones that are basically invisible in water. My sister says they were a big hit with her friends as well and they keep coming up with new ways to use them. I'm thinking I may need some of my own for the the flower vase! Great product!
